Today's Hong Kong Pride showed the LGBT community there are more visible than ever before

The head of Hong Kong's Equal Opportunity Commission Dr York Chow addressed the crowd, as did member of the legislative council Cyd Ho.

This year, the fifth Hong Kong Pride, saw more corporate sponsorship with JP Morgan and Citibank joining Barclays, Goldman Sachs and Nomura who gave cash sponsorship last year, Fridae reports.

Hong Kong's Big Love Alliance, a coalition of LGBT rights campaigners, held a 'bed-in' for same-sex love in a hotel room earlier this week.

Lesbian socialite Gigi Chao booked a room at five-star Excelsior Hotel in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay for an art exhibition and political statement inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 'bed-in' for peace in 1969.

High school children across the US are forming gay and straight student alliances. More and more athletes in colleges and universities are coming out to their teams. The National Basketball Association, National Football League and Major League Baseball all have anti-LGBT discrimination clauses in their contracts with players' unions. Despite all of this, no player in a major US sports has come out. Are they cowards?
