Shepherd appears on Good Morning America and makes fun of O'Donnell's various ailments - predicts she will be on the show just one year

Sherri Shepherd, a former co-host of ABC's The View, relentlessly made fun of current co-host Rosie O'Donnell during a television interview this week.

Shepherd appeared in Good Morning America to promote her role in the Broadway musical Cinderella and said she still watches the show she co-hosted for seven years before departing in the summer.

Shepherd kicked off her Rosie ribbing by lifting up her leg which O'Donnell did during her first show this season. O'Donnell returned to the show after quitting in 2007 after one stormy year.

Former co-host Joy Behar defends O'Donnell against blistering attack by nemesis Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Seven years after her fiery exit from The View, ABC officially confirmed today that Rosie O'Donnell is returning to the show - and the fireworks have already begun.

'ABC confirms Rosie O'Donnell returns as co-host of #TheView w/ moderator Whoopi Goldberg for Season 18,' the network tweeted without further comment.

O'Donnell also has not yet commented on the news but two of her former co-hosts, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar are engaged in a war of words over her return.

But while doing all of that and becoming one of the most famous lesbians on the planet, DeGeneres has quietly been earning another title: Scariest woman on daytime TV.

On her daytime talk show this week, DeGeneres aired a compilation video of the various ways she has scared various celebrities including her own wife, Portia de Rossi.

Chandler Massey going for third win in a row for his portrayal of Will Horton on NBC's Days of Our Lives - earns fourth nod overall

Chandler Massey isn't on NBC's Days of Our Lives anymore but his performance as a gay young man facing a series of dramatic ups and downs was not forgotten by Daytime Emmy voters.

In nominations announced earlier today, Massey made the cut in the competitive category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Will Horton.

It's the fourth consecutive nomination for Massey and gives him a perfect record of a nod for every year he was on the show.

Former co-host of The View will guest on show where she and Elisabeth Hasslebeck once bitterly squared off

Rosie O'Donnell is heading back to The View - for just one day.

The lesbian television personality and actress ended her stormy year as moderator on the ABC talk show in 2007 with a heated argument with her conservative co-host Elisabeth Hassleback.

The argument (see video below) was one thing, but the fact that producers chose to put the women on a split-screen during part of it so enraged O'Donnell that she left three weeks before the end of her contract.

O'Donnell will appear on the show on 7 February.

Character of Will Horton grappled with coming out in a small town

Chandler Massey on Sunday (16 June) won his second consecutive Daytime Emmy Award for his performance as gay teen Will Horton on the NBC soap Days of Our Lives.

Among the competition in Massey's category of outstanding performance by a younger actor was Freddie Smith who plays his boyfriend Sonny Kiriakis on the show. It was Smith’s third nomination and Massey’s third.

Massey paid tribute to Smith backstage calling him 'an absolutely phenomenal actor and a phenomenal person. I'm lucky to be able to work alongside of him.'

Third straight nod for Chandler Massey, first for Freddie Smith

Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith, who play a young gay couple on the NBC soap Days of Our Lives were both nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards on Wednesday (1 May).

Massey, who plays the role of Will Horton, was nominated for the third consecutive year in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. He won last year.

Openly lesbian comic will continue to host her critically and commercially acclaimed daytime talk show to 2017

Openly gay comic Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show was renewed for four more years, it was announced today (11 March).

After marking its 10th year on the air, the syndicated show was renewed through to the 2016-17 by NBC.

Valari Staab, NBC President, described the show as ‘the crown jewel’ of the daytime lineup.

‘In fact, “Ellen” is the top choice for women 25-54 in her time period in seven of our markets, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, this season,’ Staab said.

Ellen DeGeneres says she was broke and had no job offers for three years after she came out in 1997

Ellen DeGeneres showed her serious side to Australian talk show host Tracy Grimshaw in an interview broadcast on Monday night.

The usually light-hearted TV presenter and actress talked frankly about the dip in her career after she came out publicly in 1997.

Soon after she came out on The Oprah Winfrey Show, DeGeneres' sit com Ellen was cancelled.

Talk show host will executive produce sitcom about single woman in her 30s

It's a good month to be Ellen DeGeneres.

The funny lady not only launched the 10th season of her talk show this week and got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week, she is also the star voice in  Finding Nemo which was re-released into theaters in 3D today (14 September).

But there's more good news on the professional front.

NBC has bought a sitcom from DeGeneres' production company and has as its central character an independent 32-year-old single woman.

Chandler Massey gets nod for performance as gay teen on Days of Our Lives; Ellen DeGeneres Show gets 12 nods but not one for its host

Chandler Massey, who portrays gay teen Will Horton on the NBC soap Days of Our Lives, was among those to receive a Daytime Emmy Award nomination which were announced Wednesday (9 May) morning.

Although it has been in recent months that Will has had his most dramatic scenes - including his first kiss with another man, coming out to himself then his grandmother and best friend - the nomination is for scenes that aired last September.

Massey tells Gay Star News: 'I feel great, it was good news. It’s such an honor to be nominated and it is much appreciated.'
