Gaga tweets: Thank u for being a part of all of our lives & using your platform to change people's minds'

The unveiling of Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair cover on Monday blew up the Twitter and some of the tweets were from fellow celebrities.

Lady Gaga posted the image taken by Annie Leibovitz and wrote: @Caitlyn_Jenner thanku for being a part of all of our lives & using your platform to change people’s minds. The beauty on the inside is now also on the outside. God bless you and the whole family for sharing it with us.

'I love you David and will miss you a lot'

A fellow television icon was having his last night on the air and Ellen DeGeneres did not want to let David Letterman go without paying the proper respect.

On Wednesday (20 May), the day of Letterman's last night as host of CBS's The Late Show, DeGeneres closed her own show with a tribute to Letterman's 33 years on network television.

'What a career he's had,' DeGeneres said. 'He is, for me personally, an inspiration.'

It seems doubtful that Nick the gardener is actually still mowing Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s lawn but he's still dropping in on Ellen's daytime show.

On Thursday (14 May), the muscular green thumb showed up and shared with viewers some memories from his time on the set of Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to the 2012 nit about a group of male strippers.

Some of the film's stars, including Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello, chat with Nick and Tatum is impressed with his physique.

Ellen DeGeneres has come to the defense of Bruce Jenner critics who are poking fun of the Olympic gold medalist because he is in the process of transitioning to female.

On her daytime talk show last week, DeGeneres took a few minutes to pay tribute to the reality show star and to put the naysayers in their place.

'It took a lot of courage to do that,' she said of Jenner's revelation. 'I know it's really hard to reveal what you've been hiding.'

Apple CEO Tim Cook, who has become increasingly vocal on LGBTI issues in the past year, tops this years' Annual Power 50 list unveiled Wednesday by Out Magazine.

The list ranks the most influential LGBTI voices in American culture and looks at how the on the list have power, how they wield it, and who it affects.

Cook, second last year, is the only openly gay CEO in the Fortune 500. He knocked Ellen DeGeneres down one space after the talk show host headed last year's list.

The 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards announced Tuesday are peppered with nominations for LGBTI personalities including Ellen DeGeneres, Laverne Cox, Sara Gilbert and Meredith Baxter.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show will look to continue its dominance in the category of outstanding talk show/entertainment, an award the show has already won an astounding eight times.

DeGeneres is nominated as executive producer of the show but not as outstanding talk show host after taking herself out of the running in that category several years ago after six wins in seven years.

Material Girl joins talk show host for Bathroom Concert Series

Madonna guested all last week on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the Material Girl and funny lady had all kinds of fun together. They even sang together in the bathroom wearing white robes - with monograms.

Ellen brought back her Bathroom Concert Series in honor of her special guest with a reworked version of the Madonna classic Dress You Up.

The series had previously featured the host singing duets with the likes of Katy Perry and Pink.

Betty DeGeneres: 'She's not putting on an act'

Betty DeGeneres knows where she is going to be just about every weekday.

The 84-year-old mother of Ellen DeGeneres is on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank watching her daughter tape her wildly popular daytime talk show.

'I watch it every day. I go to the show and the next day I'll watch the show that I was at,' she told Gay Star News at the Human Rights Campaign Dinner in Los Angeles over the weekend.

'I don't miss it. Are you kidding? And then when it's reruns all summer I'll watch that too.'

Neil Patrick Harris told Ellen DeGeneres Wednesday (18 February) that he's been having nightmares and it's all her fault.

'How do you beat the selfie that broke the Internet?' this year's Oscar host asked last year's Oscar host.

Harris was speaking of the all-star selfie that DeGeneres engineered with the likes of Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Kevin Spacey, among others.

Sam Smith brought his four newly-won Grammys with him when he paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode that aired Tuesday (10 February).

On the show, taped on Monday, Smith shared that he was operating on very little sleep after getting home at 6:30 am after partying until the wee hours.

But before heading to a private party his record label threw, the British singer headed to an In & Out Burger in Los Angeles with his family to celebrate his wins for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Surprised victims are alternately scared and starstruck

Ellen DeGeneres may be 57 years old but she's still having as much fun as most kids.

So who better than another kid - 21 year old Justin Bieber - to team up with for her latest prank?

Bieber guested on Ellen's daytime talk show this week but before they began taping before the studio audience, they camped out in one of the studio's bathroom stalls.

At first, the two just stood inside and embraced which was enough to send surprised audience members into a scream or a stream of swear words.

Channing Tatum has revealed the poster for Magic Mike XXL on Instagram.

'Look, but you can't touch...until tomorrow. Tune in to @theellenshow! #MagicMikeXXL,' he wrote.

The actor shows off his chiseled abs and towards toward the word 'coming' splashed across his crotch.

Channing will appear on Ellen Degeneres Wednesday to promote the sequel, in which reprises his role as Mike and attends a strippers' convention with the other guys.

Gay talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey just spooned while playing Heads Up.

Enlisting the help of actors David Oyelowo and Carmen Ejogo who were on the show to talk about their new movie Selma, the pair played a round of the chart-topping phone app game to the delight of the audience.

During the game, DeGeneres and Winfrey acted out a number of actions including getting waxed, waltzing and finally spooning while Oyelowo and Ejogo did the guessing.

The talk show host and her actor wife looked radiant, relaxed and happy in a make-up free selfie to mark their anniversary

Portia de Rossi has confirmed that she and wife Ellen DeGeneres celebrated their tenth anniversary on Monday (1 December) – and to mark the occasion, she tweeted a couple of gorgeous photos of the two of them over the weekend.

Clearly the women, who met in December 2004 and married in August 2008, enjoyed some quality time together ahead of their anniversary. This included taking a stroll on the beach – where they snapped a make-up free selfie of themselves.
