Those who make a difference to the LGBT community will be immortalized in a comic strip themed concert by the acclaimed London Gay Men’s Chorus

David Bowie’s celebrated refrain 'We can be heroes, just for one day' is the key message behind the London Gay Men’s Chorus (LGMC) new concert.

Honouring the people who have contributed to bettering the everyday lives of the LGBT community, the aptly titled Heroes will be performed at Cadogan Hall in the UK capital from the 24 to 25 May.

Straight starlets shared a quick lesbian kiss on ITV2 panel show Celebrity Juice

TV straight starlets Kelly Brook and Holly Willoughby shared a steamy kiss on Celebrity Juice last week.

The team captains on the ITV2 panel show were demonstrating how to play Read My Lips – a game involving contestants passing pieces of paper to each other using only their mouths.

Despite a valiant effort, the paper dropped, leaving the two models and television presenters locking lips.

Host Keith Lemon, known for his lewd comedy, pleaded with the girls for an encore - especially as it was Brook's last show.

While shooting his new film Kill Your Darlings, the 'Harry Potter' star reveals he did not stay a novice for long

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he was given ‘step-by-step instructions’ in filming a gay sex scene.

The ‘Harry Potter’ actor will play famed American poet Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings.

Speaking to Graham Norton on BBC1, he said: ‘I was doing a gay sex scene and the director (John Krokidas) was giving step-by-step instructions.

‘And the favorite note I have ever had was when we were kissing and the director shouted, “Not like that. Crazy sex kissing!”

British gay pop singer George Michael was a passenger in a car which crashed during the evening rush-hour

Gay pop singer George Michael has been involved in a car crash on Britain’s M1.

An air ambulance, and other medics, were called to the incident which happened at 5.50pm yesterday (16 May) near the motorway’s (freeway) junction with the M25, the main ring-road around London.

Michael, 49, was a passenger in the car.

A statement from his publicist sent to GSN and other media said: ‘George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening, no third party was involved.

Openly gay HIV positive lead singer of pop group Erasure says current UK school curriculum doesn’t do enough to educate LGBT youngsters on safer sex

Britain should make sex education compulsory for all school children as LGBT kids are often missing crucial information at present, says singer Andy Bell.

The openly gay and HIV positive singer from pop group Erasure was writing exclusively for Gay Star News today (7 May).

He is supporting the work of the UK’s HIV campaign organization, National AIDS Trust, for whom he will perform a charity gig in London on 30 May.

Gay British actor Rupert Everett is in trouble for accidentally using some 'fruity language' on daytime television yesterday (1 May).

Gay TV presenter Fry narrates the story of a Lonely Dodo to encourage people to help conservation charity Durrell save animals from extinction

Gay British TV presenter, actor, author and brainbox Stephen Fry has made a video asking people to save other animals from the fate of the Lonely Dodo.

Fry, who presents British weird-fact TV quiz QI and starred in a biopic on Oscar Wilde, has teamed up with Oscar-winning studio Aardman, makers of the Wallace and Gromit films to make the short animation.

He narrates the story of the Lonely Dodo, voiced by stand-up comic Alistair McGowan.

Popular British actor says he believes his new sitcom shows it is possible to have gay characters who are funny because of who they are

Sir Ian McKellen, the star of new sitcom Vicious which is based around a gay couple, has said he is glad gay people no longer mostly bear the brunt of jokes in comedy today.

Speaking about the show to The Sun, he said: ‘In the past, gay characters in sitcoms have been figures of fun. They were funny because they were gay.

‘But I like the fact that these characters are funny because of the people they are. That’s a real advance.’

Actor Rupert Everett, who has chronicled his adventurous sex life in two memoirs, has said in an interview that he's not interested in it anymore.

'Sex has passed me by,' said Everett to the Observer's Victoria Coren.

'It's over! I've spent most of my adult life, since the age of 10, thinking almost exclusively about sex, and getting it, or recovering from it. But it's all smoke and mirrors to me now.'

Legendary gay pop singer-songwriter Elton John’s stage outfits will be given their own dressing room at a festival this year.

The ‘I’m Still Standing’ singer was confirmed as a headline act at Bestival, a four-day annual festival held on the Isle of Wight, England.

Record producer and organizer Rob Da Bank has claimed the star has not made any ‘diva-like’ demands.

‘It wasn’t too complicated to get Elton booked – no diva-ish antics or crazy demands,’ he told the Daily Star.

A man who killed a gay teen with Asperger's syndrome by burning him alive was sentenced for only three and a half years

The Attorney General has told the Court of Appeals to review the sentence of a man who was given just 42 months jail for burning a gay teen to death, Gay Star News has learned.

Steven Simpson, who had Asperger’s syndrome, a speech impairment and epilepsy was celebrating his 18th birthday when the incident happened in the early hours of 23 June last year.

As he became more drunk, homophobic insults were scrawled on his arm and stomach and he was encouraged to strip to his underwear and dance.

Writer Jonathan Harvey, whose play and film Beautiful Thing defined coming out in Britain under Section 28, has Tweeted against Margaret Thatcher on the day of her funeral.

Thatcher’s Conservative government introduced Section 28 to the UK in 1988. It effectively stopped teachers from talking about being lesbian, gay or bisexual to their pupils in schools.

Writing on Twitter today (17 April) Harvey states: ‘Young gay men fawning over Thatcher clearly have no knowledge of gay history.’

British actress says the music mogul might give being gay a try after he refuses to flirt with her

British actress Amanda Holden has said Simon Cowell may have a 'dabble' at being gay.

Holden, who judges alongside the music mogul on Britain's Got Talent, said Cowell is currently single but he is not looking for a relationship.

‘I don’t think he’s gay but I’ve got a really good radar,’ she told The Sun.

‘I’ve known people were gay before they knew they were gay.
