Figure skating star Johnny Weir loves Russia where he is immensely popular with fans.

But anti-gay laws in the country have him warning his fellow gay athletes when they participate in the Winter Olympics next year in Sochi, Russia.

Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off pits celebrity teams against each other

Johnny Weir, a three-time US National Champion and two-time Olympian in figure skating, will be taking his competitive skills from the ice rink to the kitchen.

Weir, who is openly gay, is one of eight celebrities set to face off in Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off. Previews of the show show him kissing fellow competitor, actor Dean McDermmot but it's not know the context of the kiss. McDermott is married to Tori Spelling.

Former US Olympic skater Matt Savoie marries partner in Massachusetts

He was teammate of Johnny Weir at 2006 Winter Olympics

He may not be as famous as Johnny Weir but Matt Savoie does have a few things in common with the popular ice skating star: both have represented the US in te Olympics and both got married this year to their male partners.

Savoie, 32, married attorney Brian Boyle earlier this month in Massachusetts while Weir married Victor Voronov last January in New York City.

Openly gay Pineapple Dance Studio’s star Spence joins British TV favourite Dancing On Ice

Celebrity dance choreographer Louie Spence has joined the judging panel of Dancing On Ice for the ITV show’s seventh series, which will commence on 8 January in Britain.

The eccentric, openly gay 42-year-old, who is the artistic director at the London Pineapple Dance Studios, and German figure skater Katarina Witt, will join resident head judge Robin Cousins, while head coach Karen Barber will also return. Spence and Witt are replacing Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner.
