A boyfriend known as Volleyball and a rabbit named Oreo added to the festive cheer of a family holiday on Margaret River and the beaches of Perth

It was the weekend before Christmas and I was watching a television in Heathrow airport’s Terminal 4, just near my departure gate.

The weather forecast looked bleak - so far it had been a fairly mild December in the UK, but it seemed things were set to deteriorate with high winds, heavy rain, and stormy skies predicted.

It was with some relief I boarded my flight. I was heading to Australia for a family Christmas.

A Japanese restaurant in London with French styling and décor, British retro pop on the piano and – most importantly – heavenly food

We love anything quirky, cool or ‘quality’ – so we couldn’t resist telling you about our ever-so-slightly camp new discovery, Sushi des Artistes.

At first glance, this London restaurant is a miss-match; French styling, Japanese food, retro pop played live by a pianist. But the combination turns out to be strangely irresistible – and the food utterly delicious.

Distractions and styling aside (I know, we love distractions and styling) the food is the star.

Talk show host says 'I'm actually a friend of all animals'

Rosie O'Donnell used her talk show on the Oprah Winfrey Network Tuesday (17 January) to explain why her family caught a hammerhead shark during a fishing trip off the Florida coast.

Although the trip took place more than a year ago, a photo of O'Donnell's family and a dead hammerhead shark surfaced online recently. As of Jan. 1, Florida made it illegal to fish for sharks.
