An 80-year-old grandfather has got an equal marriage tattoo in order to support his gay grandson.

Grandpa Frank decided to get the equal sign, as popularized by the Human Rights Campaign, after his grandson Joe came out to him.

A video documents the process as Frank tells his tattoo artist about how proud he is of his grandson.

On the YouTube video, the description says: 'About a month ago, Joe got an equal sign tattoo in support of human equality, and Grandpa Frank wanted to show his love and support, too.

The US Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) has praised the creators of the post-apocalyptic game The Last of Us for its inclusion of a gritty non-stereotypical gay character

United States group GLAAD have named the character Bill from the PS3 game The Last of Us among its most intriguing new LGBTI characters in any medium of 2013.

GLAAD praised the inclusion of the stereotype breaking character, writing on the group’s blog, ‘There weren't many new LGBT characters to be found in mainstream video games this year, but one of 2013's most critically acclaimed featured a particularly interesting one.’

Chris Brown made a very public statement about his feelings for fellow R&B singer Frank Ocean during the Grammy Awards on Sunday (10 February) by refusing to join in on a standing ovation when Ocean took to the stage to receive one of the two awards he won that night.

A photo, in which is appears as though Adele is giving Brown a piece of her mind for his rudeness, quickly went viral as did the story of a sharp tongue-lashing.

R&B artist most famous for beating up Rihanna has said people should 'focus on what matters'

R&B artist Chris Brown has compared himself to Jesus after his fight with openly gay singer Frank Ocean.

The ‘Don’t Judge Me’ singer posted a mural of the central Christian figure on his Instagram account, saying ‘Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!’

Brown posted the painting after it was revealed Los Angeles police are wishing to speak to him for allegedly punching Ocean.

As Ocean stayed to give police a statement, and Brown fled the scene, the gay singer is now being treated as the victim.

Openly gay R&B artist is reportedly pressing charges against the singer famous for beating up Rihanna

Openly gay R&B singer Frank Ocean is reportedly pressing charges against Chris Brown following their fight.

Brown is accused of punching the ‘Thinking Bout You’ singer at the Westlake Studio in Los Angeles on Sunday (27 January), after an argument allegedly about a parking space.

Ocean stayed to give police a statement and is now being treated as a victim, while Brown had left the scene by the time officers had arrived.

Sadly, it didn’t begin well as he started off his 2013 by being busted for possessing marijuana.

The R&B star was pulled over for speeding through Mono County, California, in the early hours of New Year’s Day reportedly driving 90mph in a 65mph zone in his black BMW, TMZ reports.

Odd Future rapper is nominated for five Grammy awards, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Album of the Year

Gay artist Frank Ocean is tied for the most Grammy nominations in the 55th annual list, it was announced late Wednesday (5 December).

The ‘Channel Orange’ rapper includes some of the most eagerly awaited categories: Album of the Year for his debut, Record of the Year for ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ and Best New Artist.

He is also nominated for Urban Contemporary Album and Rap/Sung Collaboration for ‘No Charge In The Wild’ which he performed with renowned rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West.

R&B and Hip-Hop singer Frank Ocean may have got the most attention of the openly gay Grammy nominees announced on Thursday (5 November) evening.

But he's not the only LGBT nominee this year.

Gay musician Dave Koz was nominated in the Best Pop Instrumental Album for his Live at the Blue Note Tokyo album and bisexual actress and comedienne Margaret Cho is a nominee in the Best Comedy Album category for Cho Dependent: Live in Concert.

US rapper Lil Wayne controversially references R&B singer Frank Ocean's sexuallity in new rap song

US rapper Lil Wayne has controversially referenced R&B singer Frank Ocean's sexuality in a new rap song.

Featuring on a remixed version of Future’s new single ‘Turn On The Lights’, Wayne raps: ‘Tell her I skate/ I ain’t got no worries/ No Frank Ocean, I’m straight.’

The lyric is a clear reference to the R&B singer, who revealed earlier this year his first love was a man.

It is not the first time Wayne has been accused of using homophobic lyrics in his songs. In his song Georgia Bush, he says: 'Got money out the ass/no homo but I'm rich.'

US rapper 50 Cent has made a surprising u-turn on his previously homophobic stance by supporting gay hip hop star Frank Ocean and same-sex marriage.

The Get Rich or Die Tryin' artist has had his knuckles wrapped more than once for voicing his anti-gay views.

But now the New Yorker seems to have had a change of heart, standing up for hip hop singer Frank Ocean after he revealed his first love was a man.

Odd Future member recalls how he first fell in love with a man

One of R&B’s rising stars, Frank Ocean, has come out as bisexual.

Ocean, 24, famous for being a member of Odd Future, published a screenshot of a text document on his tumblr that revealed his sexuality today (4 July).

The document, titled ‘Thank You’, was written on a plane between New Orleans and Los Angeles, and was originally meant to be in the album notes for his new record Channel Orange.

The retiring U.S. congressman to wed longtime partner

Barney Frank, the first openly gay member of the U.S. House of Representatives, is getting married to his longtime partner Jim Ready.

The couple, who met six years ago, have not yet set a date.

The Massachusetts congressman isn't providing any further details but he told Charlie Rose in an interview earlier this month: 'I have a partner now. I’m in love for the first time in my life.'

Frank is 71 and Ready is 42.
