Got an apology and £500 payment in return

A UK bank has accused a woman of fraud just because she is trans.

The Financial Ombudsman Service has warned the biggest banks in the UK to ensure they properly handle sensitive situations.

For example, the dispute resolution body confused a female customer's gender reassignment with fraud blocking her credit card.

A few days before the account was suspended, the woman Ms B gave the bank a ring. Confirming her identity, she was told her address couldn't be changed.

Authorities say fake gay couples are harder to detect

Gangs in the UK are selling sham gay marriages to illegal immigrants as fake same-sex couples are more difficult to detect.

One such gang organizes sham gay marriages for £10,000 ($16,326).

The gang's leaders, Peter and Ricardo, told an undercover BBC reporter that it was easy to 'fix' weddings and they had done so 'lots of times.'

They offered the female reporter two Romanian brides, both of whom said they were not lesbians but were willing to go through with a fake gay marriage for money.

Gay Star Trek actor performs the Disney song, urging the 'God Hates Fags' church to 'let it go'

George Takei has taken on the Westboro Baptist Church with a video lip syncing Frozen’s Let It Go.

The gay former Star Trek actor has published the video in response to a homophobic cover of the Disney song done by the ‘God Hates Fags’ church.

The video opens with a title card, reading: ‘Presenting the Let It Go cover the world has been waiting for’.

It then cuts to Takei, lip syncing along to Idina Menzel and dancing in front of a green screen.

He is wearing a woolly hat and scarf, pleading with the church to ‘let it go’.

American Idol and Dreamgirls star explains how drag queens used to style her out before performances at gay clubs

Jennifer Hudson has revealed how gay people enabled her to go from $25 gigs to winning an Oscar.

The 32-year-old singer and actress shot to fame after appearing on American Idol in 2004, but reveals her singing roots are in gay clubs.

‘I used to go to gay clubs when I was a kid,’ the ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ singer explained.

‘We were 16 or 17 and my best friend would pretend to be my manager.’

She added to V Magazine: ‘He’d have business cards made up and he’d negotiate for me to sing for $25 a song.

Mark Hawthorn, 49, also known as Tilly - one half of the comedy drag duo Glitter Lips - committed five counts of benefit fraud between November 2003 and March 2012.

Sue Everhart also says 'it is not natural for two women or two men to be married'

Georgia GOP Chairwoman Sue Everhart called gay marriage unnatural, said it could influence kids to be gay, and claimed it will lead straight people to pretend to be gay in order to commit fraud.

Everhart acknowledged to The Marietta Daily Journal that 'Lord, I’m going to get in trouble over this,' and went on to say: 'It is not natural for two women or two men to be married. If it was natural, they would have the equipment to have a sexual relationship.'

Gay CNN host Anderson Cooper has defended Beyoncé Knowles for allegedly lip-syncing the national anthem at the inauguration yesterday (22 January).

Speaking on his show AC360, Cooper brought up the controversy as part of his segment ‘The Ridiculist’.

‘Tonight it is the story everyone seems to be talking about. Oh scandalous scandal, whether Beyoncé may or may not have lip-synced her performance of the national anthem at the inauguration,’ he said.

A teenage Katie Price impersonator used identity theft to steal from the model’s bank account.

Transgender Kerry Marshall, 18, impersonated the glamour model and tabloid newspaper star in order to withdraw cash from her bank account, a court heard.

Marshall initially tricked her way into Katie Price’s house in Sussex when she posed as a member of security staff and then stole her bank details.
