Brighton Pride organizers have responded to a headliner cancelling, and claims of kettling from Queers Against Cuts

Pop star and X Factor winner Alexandra Burke cancelled her performance at Brighton and Hove Pride on Saturday (1 September).

The ‘Bad Boys’ singer, who was a headline act for the gay festival held in the British seaside city, pulled out after her technical team said they were unsatisfied with the venue.

Director of Brighton and Hove Pride Trevor Edwards told Gay Star News negotiations had broken down in the late afternoon after her management’s new requirements could not be accommodated.

Weapon of Choice chart-topper to get pride partygoers' blood pumping at UK city's annual LGBT festival

Superstar DJ Fatboy Slim will be spinning the decks at this year's gay pride festival in Brighton.

The Right Here, Right Now chart-topper will get the crowd sweating in the Wild Fruit dance tent at the LGBT party in Preston Park on 1 September.

Fatboy Slim, otherwise known as Norman Cook, said he was happy to be gigging in his hometown again.

'Thank heavens for the Olympics. After many years of missing pride because it always fell on the busiest weekend of my year, the date has moved to September so I can finally join the fun.
