When he was faced with 'a sudden and disappointing end to my multiyear relationship,' he turned to Barbra Sreisand in Funny Girl.

'I found myself asking, “What would Barbra do?"'

Apparently what Barbra - as Fanny Brice - would do is barnstorm throughout Europe belting out Don't Rain on My Parade, take a video of it and post it on YouTube.

Will be only her second singing performance at Oscars

Barbra Streisand will be singing at this year's Academy Awards.

The Oscars, being produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, will feature a tribute to movie musicals.

They said in a statement to ABC News Wednesday (30 January): 'In an evening that celebrates the artistry of movies and music, how could the telecast be complete without Barbra Streisand? We are honored that she has agreed to do a very special performance.'
