Gay celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has been tweeting his praise of London for its partying spirit during World Pride.

‘The Brits know how to have a fucking good time!!! #Legends,’ the 34-year-old tweeted over the weekend.

‘#London is the best city in the world!!!!,’ he continued. ‘I LOVE the British people! Like sunshine after the rain!’

Today Perez Hilton discovered the importance, and joy, of social media. The entertainment writer went to Twitter and invited himself to Cher's house for 'a girls night.' The gay icon agreed.

CNN newsman and daytime talk show host Anderson Cooper has never discussed his sexuality publicly and blogger Perez Hilton thinks it's time he should.

'Look at someone like Anderson Cooper who even Out Magazine has reported as being gay,' Hilton says in an interview with BigThink.com that surfaced on YouTube this week. 'Has Anderson Cooper come out? No. That's his choice. He's going to remain in the closet even though everybody knows he's gay. And that's okay because it's his story to tell if and when he's ready.'

Perez Hilton once thought nothing of outing closeted gay celebrities and drawing tasteless doodles on paparazzi shots of various stars. Such antics gained him millions of followers and led to books and television appearances.

But Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, now says he has left those toxic ways behind him and has embraced a more positive way to conduct himself both professionally and personally.

Event sells out and additional 200,000 viewers who watched live online

A reading of the play 8, with an all-star cast headed by Brad Pitt and George Clooney, raised approximately $2 million for the American Foundation of Equal Rights (AFER).

The reading, held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, sold out and an additional 210,000 viewers watched live on YouTube.
