Mike Lannan tells Gay Star News: 'We're thinking about (stories) in preparation of getting picked up but we can't really work on it until we get that signal'

HBO's Looking, a dramedy about three gay best friends nagivating life and love in present day San Francisco, will air the sixth of its eight episodes on Sunday (23 February).

The show's creator, Mike Lannan, tells Gay Star News he's very hopeful there will be a second season of the show which has had far lower ratings than its lead-in show, Girls.

The hunky diver visited the world's biggest cruise ship and treated guests to a special performance

Cruise line Royal Caribbean invited GSN favorite Tom Daley to test out the facilities on the world's biggest cruise ship, Allure of the Seas.

While he was there, Tom had a go at rock-climbing and dodgeball, and then stripped to have a go on the ship’s surf machine. From the looks of it he had an ab-solutely fantastic time!

And of course, he treated holidaying guests to a few dives in the Aquatheater pool.

Some want snow, some want sunshine - all want family

Cheyenne Jackson has had plenty of snow on Christmas. So this year, the Tony Award nominated star is hoping for plenty of sunshine.

'I just moved to LA so I'll be spending it with my family in Laguna Beach,' Jackson tells Gay Star News. 'It will be my first time without snow - I'm excited. Me and my boyfriend are going to go out there.'

It's Jackson's first Christmas with new boyfriend, actor Jason Landau. He split from husband Monte Lapka this summer after less than two years of marriage and a decade together.

Gay Star Beach Party is a two-day travel show held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January. THT’s health promotion team will be joining the holiday theme as safer sex lifeguards, offering some helpful advice to all attendees.

Sunday 19 January will be their official fundraising day with bucket collections to donate anything you can and ‘help stop HIV in its tracks.’

Unconfirmed reports claim two Nigerian men were beaten to death as a crowd watched and did nothing

A video has surfaced online appearing to show two gay men being beaten with sticks and wooden planks.

In the short two-and-a-half minute video, a crowd is gathered around the two broken half-naked men on the ground.

And in further horrific scenes from the film, one man’s head is split open and his brains pour out of his skull.

With the mob’s weapons, they appear to brutally murder them. It is impossible to say whether the men are dead but they stop moving and the injuries appear to be life threatening.

Until he began competing last month on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, Brant Daugherty was sort of famous only to the people who watched Army Wives, Pretty Little Liars or Days of Our Lives.

The Language of Love sees Charlie's struggle over whether to tell his best friend he loves him. It has now been nominated for a major LGBT film prize

A film by a 17-year-old about a schoolboy coming to terms with his sexuality while in the middle of a French exam has been moving audiences and celebrities.

The Language of Love sees Charlie wake up to his feelings when tasked in the exam to ‘describe your best friend… write your response as a letter to your friend, in French.’

Charlie talks viewers through what is going on in his head as he struggles with the question.

The truth is, he is in love with his best friend Sam.

The Gastonguays had it all planned.

The Arizona family was going to leave the sinful land of the US, and make a pure life in the island nation of Kiribati. Unfortunately, two things got in the way: storms and the Pacific Ocean.

According to Talking Points Memo, Hannah Gastonguay said she and her family were fed up with the US government. As Christians, they do not believe in 'abortion, homosexuality, in the state-controlled church.'

British gay pop singer George Michael was a passenger in a car which crashed during the evening rush-hour

Gay pop singer George Michael has been involved in a car crash on Britain’s M1.

An air ambulance, and other medics, were called to the incident which happened at 5.50pm yesterday (16 May) near the motorway’s (freeway) junction with the M25, the main ring-road around London.

Michael, 49, was a passenger in the car.

A statement from his publicist sent to GSN and other media said: ‘George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening, no third party was involved.

‘I never imagined that it would be this great. I just really love this storyline from the bottom of my heart'

Freddie Smith knows he's a part of something special.

The young actor, who received his first Daytime Emmy nomination this week, plays one half of a gay couple on the NBC soap Days of Our Lives in a storyline that fully integrates the characters with the rest of the fictional small town of Salem.

‘I never imagined that it would be this great,' Smith told Gay Star News in a recent interview. 'We had expectations but I just really love this storyline from the bottom of my heart. It’s nice to go to work every day and have such a positive impact.’

Serial felon accused of going on violent crime spree, meeting men off GROWLr and SCRUFF apps, holding them at gun point, and taking their property

A gunman is accused of targeting ‘bears’ he met on gay dating apps for theft and rape.

The man from Kent, an outlying suburb of Seattle, is accused of having gone on a days-long violent crime spree and is now in jail on seven felony charges, reports Seattle Pi.

The most serious allegation against Laverne Lee Maxwell, aged 32, dates from 7 April.

Transgender people have told top politicians of their bad experiences at the hands of the British press at a meeting in parliament.

The discussion was organized after the death of Lucy Meadows, a transgender school teacher who had been the subject of a critical news story and comment piece by columnist Richard Littlejohn in the Daily Mail, a leading UK tabloid.
