Says friend: 'They would both be alive today if America had gay marriage'

Before gay porn star Wilfred Knight committed suicide earlier this month, he wrote a blog post with the title: 'My partner's life and death and its lesson: US Gay Marriage Must Pass on a Federal Level.'

That partner, an American citizen named Jerry Enriquez, had killed himself two weeks earlier in Canada. The couple had left Oregon to live in Canada because Knight, a French citizen, had a student US visa that had expired.

A gay asylum seeker in the UK fears persecution if he returns to Uganda

A gay Ugandan asylum seeker is making a desperate plea for help just days before he is deported home where he claims his life is at risk.

After two failed attempts by the UK Border Agency to deport 41-year-old Felix Wamala, once on 24 December 2011 and again on 2 January, he has been booked on a Virgin flight back to Uganda on Friday (4 May).

Wamala is currently being held at Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre near Heathrow airport, west London.

US politicians have taken a stand against the ‘appalling’ sexual abuse of gay immigrants in detention centers.

Congressmen Mike Quigley and Jared Polis are calling on the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to investigate and improve conditions at Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities, and those with which they contract.
