A same-sex family in Massachusetts are in the running for a $50,000 scholarship prize and dream vacation

Here at GSN, we love to hear stories about happy same-sex families.

International dating site is currently running a scholarship competition, with a $50,000 scholarship prize on offer to any kid who has a parent that either met or remarried through the site.

Students aged between 13-20 were invited to submit a 1-2 minute video that captured their parents’ love story in a creative way. From the many entries submitted, selected five finalists – and one is from the daughter of a same-sex couple.

Following the viral success of the First Kiss video uploaded to YouTube this week, the Gay Women Channel has recorded its own version, with alleged homophobes hugging gay people

The First Kiss video uploaded onto YouTube on Monday (10 March) has spawned many imitators and parody attempts, the latest of which shows homophobes and gay people hugging it out on camera.

First Kiss was presented by WREN and currently has over 57 million views. The film shows 20 strangers, of different ages, races and sexual orientations, kissing on camera.

The Gay Women Channel yesterday (15 March) uploaded their own take on the idea, titled First Gay Hug (A Homophobic Experiment).

Is monogamy always the answer or could an ‘open relationship’ be better for you and your partner?

The first time I heard the phrase ‘open relationship’ I cringed at the thought of it. Why on earth would someone want to be in a relationship and at the same time what to hook up with someone else?

At that time I was bathing in the glorified illusion of my morality and the ideological deceit of ‘happily ever after’. I won't try to claim I can speak much about morality, but hey, I was in a monogamous relationship for one year.

I will never try it again.
