Zach Wahls continues to defend gay and lesbian families. Earlier this year the University of Iowa student turned into a media sensation when he spoke up for his lesbian parents at an Iowa public hearing to revoke the state's 2009 marriage law.

The engineering student, with the help of MoveOn.org, sent out a mass email asking people to make holiday photos in support of marriage equality.
