Survey shows opposition to gay marriage is declining in the US

More and more US voters are getting behind marriage equality

There used to be a time, very recently, when marriage equality took a constant beating in all polls. Now US voters seem more and more comfortable with LGBT families having the same rights of their straight counterparts.

This past week top pollsters for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama released a report that argued 'significant opposition to the freedom to marry is increasingly isolated within narrow demographic groups while a much broader and more diverse majority are ready to let same-sex couples marry.'

Republican operative's memo says it's time for party to join LGBT equality movement

According to a leaked memo from a political operative, it's time for the Republican Party to be more gay friendly.

Jan van Lohuizen, who worked as a pollster on the 2004 reelection campaign for President George W. Bush, sent his talking points to Republican candidates. He argued the party should reflect the changing attitudes American voters now have toward gays and lesbians.
