The boss of Britain’s world famous gay nightclub chain, G-A-Y, announces he is risking his fortune to buy out his partner, the failing music and DVD retailer HMV

Jeremy Joseph, the face of London’s world famous gay nightclub, G-A-Y, has announced he has raised millions to buy out his business partner, HMV.

The news comes after HMV, a music, games and DVD retailer, announced it was going into administration on 15 January.

Now Joseph says he has decided to ‘take biggest risk of my life, borrow millions of pounds, put my home and company up as a guarantee’ and buy HMV out of the G-A-Y chain.

British singer Olly Murs has revealed if he was gay, he would definitely prefer the older, successful male.

The ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ singer named football star David Beckham and acting legend George Clooney as his ‘ideal’ boyfriend.

In an interview with the Daily Star, he said: ‘My ideal man, if I were gay, would be David Beckham or George Clooney.

‘Both are successful, good-looking and talented.’

He added: ‘I have never kissed a bloke. Not seriously anyway.’

Popstar Zayn Malik shunned V Festival to support his girlfriend at London's biggest gay club

While the rest of One Direction partied at V Festival at the weekend, Zayn Malik was seen at G-A-Y nightclub in London on Saturday.

Malik, 19, was at the club supporting Little Mix band member and girlfriend Perrie Edwards.

She was singing with the rest of the girl group to celebrate the launch of their second single ‘Wings’.

One Direction have recently returned from touring in Canada and Malik was spotted sneaking into the club via the back entrance.

Olympic champion Nicola Adams toasts her success at 2012 games by visiting one of London's biggest gay clubs

Boxing champion Nicola Adams proved she is a knock-out in the club as well as the ring after being spotted celebrating winning Olympic gold at G-A-Y.

The first time games winner was smiling ear to ear when out enjoying drinks with friends in one of central London's biggest gay clubs on Saturday (11 August).

Club promoter Jeremy Joseph told Gay Star News: ‘She was really nice. You don’t expect it really. I kept thinking, you are far too nice - how is it that you can floor someone in the ring and be this nice?

The chair of Pride London, Patrick Williams, has resigned after criticism of the board’s handling of World Pride

Dr Patrick Williams, chair of Pride London has stood down, after calls for the whole board to resign over this year’s event.

London has had to scale back its World Pride celebrations on 7 July due to a cash crisis.

The event had been projected to bring in over a million people for the biggest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender event the British capital had ever seen.

Jeremy Joseph, the boss of legendary UK club G-A-Y, is calling for the resignation of the Pride London committee.

Joseph, along with KU bar’s Gary Henshaw, are petitioning for the Pride London committee to accept responsibility and resign after it was reported they failed to organize World Pride celebrations properly.

Gay Star News revealed on 28 May that Pride London bosses axed the cars and floats from the parade.

The X Factor UK star says ‘I am very comfortable in my sexuality’

Singer Olly Murs has revealed his gay friends have told him he has ‘perfect lips’ to perform oral sex on a man.

The X Factor UK star, who was the show’s runner up in 2009, shocked a reporter from the Star Observer in Sydney when he was questioned about his sexuality.

He said: ‘I’m a straight guy and I date women, but I get on really well with gay guys. I’m very comfortable with my sexuality.

Britain’s top scene club and bar, G-A-Y, has linked up with Gay Star News in a bid to get more sign-ups for a petition to support gay marriage.

Clubbers wanting a night out at G-A-Y club in Charing Cross will be given free entry on Saturday 24 March as a ‘thank you’ if they sign the Coalition for Equal Marriage petition.

X Factor star Amelia Lily 'went down a storm' at G-A-Y in London.

X Factor runner-up Amelia Lily was singing for the pink vote on Saturday night, performing at G-A-Y nightclub in London sporting a fake ‘gay’ tattoo.

The 17-year-old from Middlesborough, who came third in the popular TV contest, got into the spirit of the famous UK venue by etching the three-letter word on her right shin.

Writing on Twitter following the gig, in which she performed songs featured on this year’s ITV show, she gushed: 'G.A.Y you were a fabulous audience tonight! Completely rocked! Much love.'
