Comic says she yelled 'Fierce! Fierce! Diva! Fierceness!' when Material Girl - protected by bodyguard - walked by her on red carpet

One of Kathy Griffin's best friends is Cher and another one is Gloria Vanderbilt.

So is it possible for this one-time D-lister to still be starstruck? Apparently so.

This week during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Griffin claims to have lost her composure when encountering Madonna at The Grammys this year.

After five losses, Griffin finally won the Best Comedy Album Grammy which she accepted during the non-televised portion of the evening.

An open-air jeep takes you to the Palm Spring domiciles of your favorite gay icons, from the steps of Liberace’s estates to Cher’s former getaway palace

Unless you’re comedian Kathy Griffin, chances are slim Cher’s going to invite to into her house to raid her wig closet.

However, Palm Springs tour guides are giving travelers the ultimate tease with the Gay Icons Tour, a historical journey on an open-air Jeep where you are led to the desert homes of you favorite gay idols.

Old Hollywood glamour had a strong hand in shaping Palms Springs thanks to Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland and more Tinsel-Town divas who made their home in the desert city.

Jokes Cooper: 'Wait…what? CNN hired her again? For real?'

Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin once again have a date on New Year's Eve.

The real-life besties will co-host CNN's annual live coverage from Times Square in New York for the seventh straight year.

Because of Griffin's antics during past telecasts such as dropping an f-bomb, her participation always seems be in question up until a few weeks before the broadcast.

'Wait…what? CNN hired her again? For real?' Cooper said in a tongue-in-cheek statement.

'Does every United States Senator have to have a kid come out and say, “Mom, Dad, I’m gay” for them to actually believe in equal rights?'

As a longtime LGBT ally, Kathy Griffin was no doubt happy to see Ohio Senator Rob Portman cross Republican party lines last month and come out in support of gay marriage.

But that doesn't mean the funny redhead isn't going to give Portman a hard time in her act for doing so only after his own son came out as gay.

'I wish we had the show the first year that we ended up with the second year'

If Anderson Cooper had to do it all over again, his foray into daytime talk shows would have been more Live With Kelly and Michael from the start than a pale imitation of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Cooper's show, Anderson Live! was canceled last fall during the early weeks of its second season. But since that time, it has found its groove with a live format and a rotating array of guest co-hosts including Andy Cohen, Kathy Griffin and Kristin Chenoweth.

Comic says she tried to go down on newsman for 'ladies and gays'

Kathy Griffin has no regrets for kissing Anderson Cooper's crotch and trying to 'go down' on the newsman during their annual stint co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast from Times Square.

'If you think this is the part where I'm going to apologize for trying to go down on Anderson Cooper you are sorely mistaken,' the comic told David Letterman during an appearance on his late-night talk show Wednesday (2 January).

Did comic finally go too far on CNN's live New Year's Eve coverage?

Kathy Griffin didn't drop an f-bomb during CNN's live New Year's coverage. She also didn't try and take her clothes off and she didn't scream down to a heckler that she wasn't trying to 'knock dicks out of your mouth.'

No, that was all in past years.

This year, the sixth year she teamed with Anderson Cooper for the telecast, the red-headed comic merely tried to simulate giving oral sex to Cooper.

'Did you drop something,' Cooper said to Griffin as she was down on her knees.

'We still have a lot of work to do but the momentum is on our side'

It's been nearly three weeks since three US states made history by passing marriage equality laws through a vote of the people.

Now Chad Griffin, president of the Human Rights Campaign, is looking to other US states to add to the nine where same-sex couples can get married.
