A leading Australian psychiatrist has resigned from the Australian state of Victoria’s Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission after it was revealed that he opposes same-sex marriage.

Professor Kuruvilla George was one of a group of doctors calling themselves Doctors for the Family who made a submission to the current senate inquiry into same-sex marriage.
