Couple will tie the knot five days before Christmas

Lance Bass and his actor-model fiance Michael Turchin have been engaged for more than a year but have remained tight-lipped about an actual wedding date.

Their lips are no linger sealed.

The couple will be tying the knot on 20 December.

Gay Star News chatted with Bass back in May about the upcoming nuptials.

Lance Bass has proposed a second time to his fiance Michael Turchin.

For their first anniversary of their engagement, the gay N*SYNC star gave his partner a new ring on 31 August to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.

Turchin took to Instagram to share a close-up pic of his new ring with black diamonds and a gold band.

'Who gets proposed to a second time on the first anniversary of the first proposal?? This guy!!!'

In June, Bass told People magazine he didn't want to rush the wedding and liked the idea of a long engagement.

'I'm just honored to be able to share my wedding with the world'

Lance Bass is looking forward to getting married to actor Michael Turchin and sharing the ceremony with the world.

The former 'N Sync band member tells Gay Star News there is no firm date set yet for the ceremony but he knows it will happen before the end of the year.

'We're filming it for an E! wedding special. It will probably air around Valentine's Day so it has to be before Valentine's Day I know that,' he explained before hosting the GMCLA Voice Awards in Las Angeles over the weekend.

The former boyband singer was finished judging the Queen of the Universe Pageant when TMZ asked him about his thoughts on a gay commander-in-chief.

‘Statistically speaking, I’m sure that someone in the White House has definitely slept with the same sex. I would definitely go out and say that, yes,’ Bass said.

While gay marriage is slowly spreading - state by state - in the US, none of the states where it has become legal have been in the South.

Mississippi native Lance Bass, engaged to marry actor Michael Turchin, is confident that is about to change.

'We’re here; our feet are planted here in Mississippi, and we can tell you by experience that there’s tons of support down here,' Bass says in a video released Thursday (13 March) by Southerners for the Freedom to Marry.

'I don't hate him at all. I still think he's cute'

Juan Pablo Galavis, the current star of ABC's The Bachelor, may have lost some fans after making some anti-gay comments but Lance Bass is not one of them.

'I don't hate him at all,' Bass told the Associated Press this week. 'I still think he's cute.'

Galavis has apologized for saying a gay version of the show would not be good for kids. He also said gays are 'more "pervert" in a sense. And to me the show would be too strong… too hard to watch.'

To date, we know of only one person from the LGBTI community who's been in space.

We didn't learn the first woman in space Sally Ride was a lesbian until decades after her death.

An estimated 500 people have already traveled into outer space, so statistically speaking at least a few of them must have been closeted.
