Gay 90s pop star Lance Bass reckons a member of British boyband sensation One Direction is probably gay.

The N*Sync star was chatting to The Rubin Report about his experiences of coming out after Jason Collins, the basketball star came out earlier this week.

‘Statistically speaking, one probably is [gay],’ Bass said. ‘The market is 100% young women and they fantasize about these [One Direction] guys.

Openly gay *NSYNC star Lance Bass has attacked Chris Brown after it was alleged he called Frank Ocean ‘faggot’ during their brawl last month.

The two R&B singers fought in Los Angeles in January allegedly over a parking space, with Ocean being named by police as the victim.

Bass said as a black man Brown should realize when it comes to ‘very derogatory’ words, he should know the slur was ‘definitely meant to hurt’.

Ellen DeGeneres got a Time magazine cover when she came out as a lesbian in 1997. A decade or so later, Lance Bass got a People magazine when he announced to the world that he was a gay man and so did Clay Aiken a short time after that.

But in 2o12, several high-profile celebrities came out as gay and didn't find themselves at the center of a media frenzy. Among them: CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, Emmy winning actor Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), and Broadway star-turned TV actor Andrew Rannells (The New Normal).

CNN's Anderson Cooper has simply gotten back to work and not talked about his sexuality since acknowledging publicly for the first time that he is gay.

But others have talked about the disclosure including Cooper's friend, Lance Bass, whose coming out in 2006 landed him on the cover of People magazine.

Todrick Hall was a semifinalist on season nine of American Idol.

But he hasn't let not making it further in the competition get him down.

Since his Idol days, Hall has been creative in getting himself out there on his own terms with his own videos, some of which have gone viral.

In the latest, he takes on the classic story of Cinderella but has transformed it into a pro-gay marriage morality tale.

Lance Bass is really proud of the LGBT youth in his home state of Mississippi.

But the one-time member of the boy band 'N Sync believes things could still be better for the youngsters growing up in a state where he could never imagine coming out as gay while he was growing up there.

In the current issue of Entertainment Weekly which hit newsstands Friday (22 June), eight openly gay celebrities share the cover for a 'special report' called The New Art of Coming Out.

Kathy Griffin welcomed two one-time boy band members to her Bravo talk show this week: AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys and Lance Bass of 'N Sync.

She then proceeded to dish the dirt.

Singer Lance Bass has been threatened over Facebook by a man who writes that he wants to 'stab' Bass and 'play around with your blood.'

The former member of the band 'N Sync came out publicly in 2006 and has spoken out on such issues as anti-gay bullying and marriage equality.

The series of Facebook threats and name-calling came from a man named Ted Fau who called Bass an '[expletive] faggot' and asked 'Do you have HIV yet?'

Joan Rivers is having none of the political correctness when it comes to the use of the word 'tranny' which both Neil Patrick Harris and Lance Bass apologized for using on live television in recent months.

The legendary comic was asked about the controversy surrounding the word which is seen by the Gays and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation as demeaning to transgender individual.
