Gay *NSYNC star has slammed the R&B singer after his alleged attack against out artist Frank Ocean

Openly gay *NSYNC star Lance Bass has attacked Chris Brown after it was alleged he called Frank Ocean ‘faggot’ during their brawl last month.

The two R&B singers fought in Los Angeles in January allegedly over a parking space, with Ocean being named by police as the victim.

Bass said as a black man Brown should realize when it comes to ‘very derogatory’ words, he should know the slur was ‘definitely meant to hurt’.

Outpouring of support for CNN anchor who publicly confirmed he is gay

Anderson Cooper has been trending on Twitter all day (2 July) with the Twitterverse abuzz over his publicly acknowledging that he is gay.

Among those tweeting about the news are the CNN anchor and daytime talk show host's famous friends including Kelly Ripa, Kathy Griffin, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ellen DeGeneres, and fellow out newsman Thomas Roberts.

'I'm proud of you,' DeGeneres tweeted shortly after the news broke on The Daily Beast.

Entertainment Weekly cover story shines spotlight on new quiet and effective ways to go public

It used to be that when a major star came out as gay, they got an entire magazine cover to themselves.

Ellen DeGeneres got the Time cover, Lance Bass and Clay Aiken got People covers and Sean Hayes was among the many stars to have gotten an Advocate cover.

In the current issue of Entertainment Weekly which hit newsstands Friday (22 June), eight openly gay celebrities share the cover for a 'special report' called The New Art of Coming Out.

MTV's sister channel moving away from LGBT-only programming

It was back in February that Logo, the MTV sister channel that had been dedicated to LGBT content since its launch in 2005, announced that it would be going more mainstream.

A sure sign of that new direction came this week when it was learned that the channel is canceling The A-List, the Real Housewives-style reality show that was marketed with the slogan 'housewives with balls.'
