LGBT organizations offer messages of condolence for shot lesbian police officer Fiona Bone and colleague Nicola Hughes

Tributes from the gay community have been pouring for Fiona Bone and her colleague Nicola Hughes, the murdered police officers from Manchester.

Speaking to Gay Star News, Deputy Chief Executive of UK-based charity Stonewall Laura Doughty said: 'Our thoughts and deep sympathy are with the families of both officers.

'The news that PC Bone and her partner were planning their civil partnership is particularly tragic.'

Rugby league champions dedicate match to gay rights

Leeds Rhinos team up with UK-based gay rights charity Stonewall to support equality

British world champion rugby club Leeds Rhinos will show its support for gay equality by dedicating a match to rights group Stonewall.

The rugby league team, who won this year's World Club Challenge, will wear Stonewall’s logo on their kit during their game against the Widnes Vikings on 10 August.
