DeDeneres, who finished second on the list last year, moved up a spot based in the Oscars which were the highest rated Academy Awards telecast in a decade and resulted in the temporary crashing of Twitter due to the host's all-star selfie.

The Arizona House of Representatives is getting all sorts of backlash for passing a bill that would make it legal for businesses to discriminate against LGBTI people in the name of religion.

Shortly after the bill was passed 33-27 with all but three House Republicans voting in favor of the bill, a Tuscon restaurant called Rocco's Little Chicago Pizzeria let it be known the lawmakers would not be welcome to eat there.

The MSNBC anchor, one of the highest-profile openly gay journalists in television news, has been named host of the network's Way to Early show and becomes a regular contributor to Morning Joe.

Way to Early airs weekdays at 5:30 am (Eastern time) and is followed by the three-hour Morning Joe program. He replaces Brian Shactman as host.

Earlier today (26 November), Baldwin and MSNBC said in a joint statement that they had mutually agreed to stop making Up Late With Alec Baldwin. The show was already struggling in the ratings before Baldwin was caught by TMZ cameras calling a photographer a 'cocksucking fag.'

Baldwin continues to deny he used the word 'fag' and claims he did not know 'cocksucker' was an anti-gay slur.

The low-rated Up Late With Alec Baldwin has been canceled in the aftermath of an incident in which an angry Baldwin was caught on video calling a photographer a 'cocksucking fag' because he got too close to his wife and baby.

'We are jointly confirming that Up Late will not continue on MSNBC,” Baldwin and the network said in a statement.

MSNBC added: 'This is a mutual parting and we wish Alec all the best.'

Anderson Cooper, CNN's openly gay anchor, thinks he is getting off easy.

Baldwin called a photographer who got too close to his wife and child a 'cocksucking fag' last week in an incident caught by TMZ cameras.

'If Alec Baldwin had yelled the N word to that photographer or yelled an anti-Jewish slur against that photographer, it would be over,' Cooper said Monday (18 November) on his CNN show.

It's been 10 months since Anton Krasovsky announced on Russia's Kontr TV Channel that he is gay.

The US Senate is expected to begin debate on the long-languishing Employment Non-Discrimination Act on Monday (4 November) and Majority Leader Harry Reid is confident of passage.

The proposed legislation now has the support of every Democrat in the Senate with the last three holdouts coming around this week.

'This is fairness,' Reid tells MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. 'Why wouldn't we do this?'

Reid says it is not just Democrats who will support the bill.

'I think, without question, we're going to get at least five Republicans,' he said.
