Brazil guarantees assisted reproduction for gay couples

The Federal Council of Medicine fixed a law’s wording to ensure same-sex couples’ access to assisted reproduction

Brazil has guaranteed that gay couples across the country have access to assisted fertilization.

According to Brazilian news website Globo.com, the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) has adjusted the vague wording in an existing law that some courts used to block same-sex couples from using in-vitro fertilization and other assisted fertilization methods.

Gates is welcoming anyone, from students to scientists, to come up with an idea and submit it in an easy, online, two-page application.

Study sheds light on police 'trans' abuse in New York area

Transgender people in Queens district of Jackson Heights are twice as likely to be stopped and searched by police, report claims

Transgender people in Jackson Heights, New York, have been targeted by police for stop-and-frisk searches at more than twice the rate of the rest of the population, a new study claims.

The report, which spoke to 305 residents in the Queens neighborhood, was conducted by Make The Road New York and the New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence project.

'Transgender and gender nonconforming people of color are particularly vulnerable due to their visibility,' the study notes.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you that when people don't like condoms, they don't use them – certainly not every time they should.

However, while this may not have been true a few years ago, these days, if you don’t absolutely love your condom, you are simply wearing the wrong one. Let me explain why.

For far too long people have believed that all condoms are one-size-fits-all and that all condoms are created equal.

Spain cuts condoms from HIV campaign

The Ministry of Health removes condoms and lube from an HIV campaign targeted at men who have sex with men

Spain's Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality is omitting condoms from its latest HIV prevention campaign.

The campaign, aimed at men who have sex with men, originally included the distribution of 100,000 condoms and lubricants intended for gay pride and related events throughout the year.

Headed by Ana Mato, the health ministry has unexpectedly changed the contents of the packages that will now only include pamphlets on HIV prevention and testing.
