'If you are for the legalization of homosexuality, you are for the acceptability of homosexuality, you are for the normalization of homosexuality, you do not care about black males'

It's unfair to expect anything logical from Bryan Fischer.

The spokesperson for the American Family Association has a long history of weird, and unreasoned, comments. From gay men being Hitler's storm troopers to a call for the kidnapping of children from gay parents.

In response to the dire need of a boost to blood banks, health minister Daniel Bahr agrees something needs to be done

German doctors are calling for the end of a ban on gay men donating blood.

The German Medical Association has said it would aim to do everything ‘within its means’ to remove the ban.

A Europe-wide ban prevents all men who regularly have sex with men to donate blood.

While countries like the UK and Sweden allow gay and bisexual men to donate if they have not had sex in a year, other European countries like Germany rule them out indefinitely.

This is because MSM are deemed to fall into the ‘high risk’ category of potential HIV risk.

The Mediterranean island archipelago is currently debating a form of ‘gay marriage’ – which could be passed within weeks.

But that has led to questions about other LGBT issues, including about the ban on blood donations by gay and bisexual men.

And last week the Health Minister Godfrey Farrugia answered that question in a way that disappointed some and confused many.

Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention AIDS Center director Professor Wu Zunyou released the figures during National Health and Family Planning Commission hearings this week.

UK doctors are urging for the NHS to provide the HPV vaccine to gay men, saying it will lead to greater awareness of sexual health

Young gay men under the age of 26 are 15 times more likely than straight men to suffer from genital cancers, a study has said.

British medical researchers argue young gay men should be given a vaccine usually only given to women to cut the risk of cervical cancer.

Currently vaccines used to cut human papillomavirus infection (HPV) are only given by the UK’s National Health Service to teenage women.

Doctors say this means young straight men are also being indirectly protected, a concept known as ‘herd immunity’.

Data from the US National Surveys of Family Growth appears to show that American gay men have become less promiscuous over the decade that same-sex marriages first began to become available to them.

Researchers compared data from gay men aged between 15 and 44 who took part in the National Surveys of Family Growth in 2002 to those who took part between 2006 and 2010 and found a statistically meaningful drop in the numbers of sexual partners they reported having in the last year.
