Actress stands by her point that gay men do not fight for women's rights

Rose McGowan has taken to Twitter to apologize for saying that gay men are more misogynistic than straight men.

However, she said she stood by her point that the gay community did not 'pay it forward' by fighting for the human rights of others, specifically women.

The Charmed actress made the comments in a recent podcast with gay writer Bret Easton Ellis.

Molly Ringwald, star of such iconic films as The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles, was announced Thursday (24 May) as grand marshal of the LA Pride Parade.

The parade takes place on June 10 and the honor comes at a time when Ringwald's character on ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager is about to embark on a lesbian fling. She has starred as Anne Juergens on the series, now in its fourth season, since 2008.

A total of 41 gay couples tied the knot last night (26 March) in the witness of a live audience in what was billed as the first 'Mass Same-Sex TV Wedding' in Australia.

The studio decorated as a wedding chapel billowed white fabric and flowers everywhere. And with a live performance of Prince Charming in place of the bridal waltz, comedians walked the aisle as makeshift flowergirls as TV host Adam Hills conducted the ceremony.
