Fast food restaurant chain denies it supports an anti-gay agenda

Chick-Fil-A, a popular fast food chain in the US specializing in chicken entrees, donated nearly $2 million to anti-gay groups in 2010, the watchdog group Equality Matters reported Monday (July 2).

The chain, which has denied in the past that it has an anti-gay agenda, gave a total of $1.9 million to various groups through its charitable arm called WinShape.

Armando Montano was just 22 and interning for the Associated Press

Armando Montano had begun a summer internship for the Associated Press in Mexico City less than a month ago.

On Saturday, the 22-year-old aspiring journalist from Colorado was found dead in the elevator shaft of an apartment building near where he was living.

Montano, a member of the National Association of Lesbian and Gay Journalists, was not on assignment at the time of his death.

Fabian Zanzi alleges actor sexually assaulted him on ship in 2009

It's another week and another lawsuit filed against John Travolta.

Fabian Zanzi, a former Royal Caribbean Cruise Line steward, is seeking unspecified damages stemming from an alleged incident on a 2009 cruise.

Zanzi claims that when he brought food to Travolta on the ship, the actor asked for a neck massage. He said that when he reached for Travolta's neck, the star took off his robe and forcefully hugged the employee, according to TMZ.com.

Cher has already won an Oscar, a Grammy and an Emmy.

Could a Tony Award be next?

The gay icon, whose stardom dates back to the mid-1960s, tweeted to fans on Monday (25 June) that work is underway on a musical about her life that she hopes to take to Broadway.

'Producers 'are trying to write a musical of my life at moment,' Cher writes. 'It's [a] very interesting idea.'

She said there would be 'three Chers.'

Max Pelofske says he showed up at a graduation party on Saturday (26 May) night to congratulate his friend's sister who was graduating from high school in just a few days.

The 21-year-old had been at the party at an abandoned gravel pit in Proctor, Minnesota, just a short time before he said he was confronted by a guy at the party.

Clay Aiken didn't let coming in second on American Idol more than a decade ago stop him from going on to become one of the biggest stars ever to emerge from that reality show competition.

Still, the openly gay singer was hoping to finish first on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice after making it to the finals of Donald Trump's reality show and facing off against former talk show host Arsenio Hall.

'My mother's here tonight and she's already sat through me losing once,' Aiken told the live studio audience before Trump made his final decision.

Event sells out and additional 200,000 viewers who watched live online

A reading of the play 8, with an all-star cast headed by Brad Pitt and George Clooney, raised approximately $2 million for the American Foundation of Equal Rights (AFER).

The reading, held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, sold out and an additional 210,000 viewers watched live on YouTube.

(More than 277,000 people had watched the performance as of noon PST on Monday (5 March).

Trevor Donovan to guest star this season, may be a regular if show renewed

The gay character of Teddy Montgomery is set to return to The CW's 90210 later this season for at least one season and may stick around if the show is renewed for a fifth season next fall.

The character, played by Trevor Donovan, joked to Zap2It.com: 'I said I would come back for an episode if they agreed to make it black and white, and silent.'
