Europe and Australia battle it at the biggest Eurovision Song Contest in history

Tonight in Vienna, Austria, the 60th Eurovision Song Contest takes place and will be watched by a global audience in excess of 150 million people.

It's the biggest Eurovision to date with 27 countries taking part, the 10 qualifiers from the two semi-finals, the host country Austria, the 'big 5', France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK and finally special invitee Australia.

The Austrians have spared no expense in putting on an amazing spectacle and, not to be outdone by the last two host countries, Sweden and Denmark, have made the event super gay-friendly.

Even Lithuania is same-sex kissing its way through Eurovision

It's time for the second semi-final of the Eurovision song contest in Vienna as 17 countries take to the stage to try to win a place in Saturday's grand final.

In rehearsals, Lithuania have been featuring not one but two same-sex kisses on stage! Will they do so again tonight?

Ghost Town singer talks about 'momentary freak-out' over Madonna's song of the same name

Adam Lambert has revealed his ideal type of guy: otters.

The openly gay singer appeared on Monday (18 May) night’s Watch What Happens Live when a caller asked him what he looks for in a guy now.

'If I knew, I’d probably be dating somebody,' he replied.

'I think you get into your 30s and all the sudden you don’t know anything about anything and you’re okay with it.'

Gay host Andy Cohen then asked if he liked twinks.

'Sometimes,' Lambert replied. 'Not so much bear, more younger.'

There is little known about the upcoming season of the FX series American Horror Story.

We know that the season has been subtitled Hotel and that the cast includes newcomers Matt Bomer and Lady Gaga along with Sarah Paulson who has so far appeared in every season of the anthology series.

The bisexual actress appeared as a two-headed circus attraction in the most recent season but is mostly mum about her newest character.

YouTube star Joey Graceffa has come out as gay to his nearly 5 million subscribers in a magical new music video.

Graceffa celebrated his 24th birthday Sunday (18 May) with the release of Don't Wait, which features goblins, a witch and a prince charming – with whom Graceffa shares an epic happily-ever-after kiss.

'I really just hope that it will be able to help some of you guys out there going through similar struggles I went through and do some good in the world,' he said in a postscript to the video.

Comic Sarah Silverman also performs raunchy stand-up routine at benefit

The crowd at The Hollywood Palladium could not be contained any longer on Saturday night.

After remaining seated during a set by Sia, they left their seats and crowded around the stage once No Doubt took the stage at the An Evening With Women benefit which raised more than $700,000 for the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

The band fronted by Gwen Stefani performed Underneath It All, Simple Kind of Love, Magic’s In the Makeup, Don’t Speak and finally I’m just a Girl.

The openly gay Stay With Me singer won Top Male Artist at the Billboard Music Awards last night – but was forced to accept it via video with cue cards, following throat surgery for a vocal hemorrhage.

But we hope the multimillion-selling star is in a somewhat celebratory mood despite his operation – especially as he turns 23 tomorrow [Tuesday 19 May]!

She knows how to cause a commotion

Madonna has caused a commotion once again on Instagram.

This time, she posted a picture of a Jewish man about to kiss a Muslim man. She captioned it with an emoji and the hashtag #rebelhearts.

Fans argued the singing superstar was triggering people of faith, knowing they would be upset by the picture. Others said it was a positive message and should be celebrated.

'Islam doesn't support homosexuality and if someone doesn't like that then they don't have to be Muslim. Its that's simple,' one said.

Queen Latifah has made clear that she will not dicuss her sexuality publicly.

But her role as 1920’s bisexual blues legend Bessie Smith in an HBO movie premiering Saturday (16 May) has her talking about sexuality, acceptance and equality.

'People’s ideas in general are antiquated when it comes to who you love,' Latifah tells Uptown magazine.

Queen Latifah may not want to discuss her sexuality in a preview of her new film Bessie, she can be seen in bed with a woman.

The Oscar nominated actress plays bisexual 1920s crooner Bessie Smith in the HBO film Bessie which premieres on Saturday (16 May).

In one seen, Latifah is seen in bed with actress Tika Sumpter who plays one of Smith's female lovers (see video below).

'We should not be labeled because it creates tension between people'

Raven-Symoné and Miley Cyrus now have more in common that being one-time Disney Channel stars.

The former That's So Raven and Hannah Montana stars have both publicly acknowledged that they have had relationships with women.

They also both don't want to be labeled as bisexual.

'Miley, I agree, we should not be labeled because it creates tension between people and you feel like you can look down, like that’s this type of person and this is how I should feel about you,' Raven-Symoné said Monday while co-hosting ABC's The View.

Tyler, The Creator has designed a gay pride T-shirt for his Golf Wang clothing label with a rainbow White Pride World Wide logo emblazoned across the front.

The Odd Future rapper, 24, used the the anti-gay slur 'faggot' 213 times on his 2011 debut album Goblin, a term he claims is 'just another word.'

Wisconsin teen was constantly tormented for being 'feminine'

A bullied 15-year-old transgender girl committed suicide last week days after coming out.

Cameron Langrell from Racine, Wisconsin told her parents a few years ago that she felt trapped in the wrong body.

She recently announced she was transgender and dating a boy on Facebook, and changed the gender on her profile to female.

Days later on 30 April, her mother, Jamie Olender, found her dead in the basement of their home.

Gay icon did her first of many guest spots with Letterman 29 years ago

Cher made a surprise visit to The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday night.

The gay icon's appearance was not publicized and she simply walked out during Letterman's monologue for a few minutes of banter with the host who is retiring from the show later this month.

Cher's first appearance with Letterman was 29 years ago when his show was on NBC and she memorably called him as 'asshole.'

But even more memorable was her 1987 appearance with ex-husband Sonny Bono when the former singing partners sang in public together for the last time.

A crowdfunding campaign has granted a terminally ill lesbian's dying wish to get married.

Lee Bransden is battling lung disease, heart disease and arthritis and has been given just weeks to live.

Bransden lives with her partner, Sandra Yates, in Tasmania, Australia but cannot afford a trip to New Zealand, where gay marriage is legal.

The couple, who both worked as registered nurses, lost their life savings when a builder they employed went bankrupt and they recently sold their camper van to pre-pay for Lee's funeral.

Miley Cyrus Tueday (5 May) launched the Happy Hippie Foundation, a non-profit organization whose 'mission is to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless [and] LGBT youth.'

The 22-year-old singer said she wanted to give LGBTI youth the opportunity to be themselves, adding that not all her relationships had been 'straight, heterosexual.'

'The position I'm in, I feel like I've got a lot of power,' she told the Associated Press.

'Mannies' work on rotation

Singer Justin Timberlake and his actress wife Jessica Biel have reportedly hired two gay male nannies to help care for their newborn son Silas Randall Timberlake.

'She hired two gay male nannies she knows through mutual friends and is having them rotate schedules,' a source told OK! magazine.

The celebrity couple, who married in 2012, still plan on being very hands-on parents.

'He's in there too, changing diapers and gushing to everyone he knows that Silas is already "a little angel,"' the insider said.
