Three-time Grammy winner Debby Boone may be from one of the most famous Christian families in the US but she has become staunchly pro gay.

Boone, whose father is anti-gay singer and actor Pat Boone, attended the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday with lesbian friends and talked about her journey to becoming a Christian who embraces the LGBT community.

Up and coming US gay rapper and viral internet star Fly Young Red has been signed up by one of hip hop’s biggest stars for his record label

Gay rapper Fly Young Red has been signed to the record label of one of hip hop’s biggest stars in a sign of growing acceptance of gays and lesbians participating in the genre.

Fly Young Red has signed with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) label after releasing his debut single Throw That Boy ‘P*ssy.’

The song exploded on the internet, going viral, with over 650,000 people watching the video clip for it on YouTube in the weeks since its 18 March release.

Blondie lead singer has had longest relationships with men - wants to fall in love again

At 68, Debbie Harry has revealed her bisexuality.

The singer who came to fame as lead singer of band Blondie acknowledged past relationships with women in a new interview, according to the Mail Online.

Harry was asked if rumors of her having affairs with other women were true and she replied: ‘Yeah.’

She then added: ‘Let’s say women are more sensual.’

To mark the 30th anniversary of her classic 1984 album She's So Unusual, pop icon Cyndi Lauper is revealing the surprise inspiration behind her hit song She Bop.

As she prepared to write a song about masturbation, she went down to a newsstand to grab a racy magazine for inspiration.

'There was Playgirl, but that was kinda boring,' Lauper recalled. 'And there was, like, Blueboy, which at that time - in my ignorance - I thought it was a women's magazine. It was not.'

The mass wedding took place on stage as Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert performed their gay rights anthem Same Love with some help at the end from Madonna.

Bradley Bredeweg, the co-creator of ABC Family’s The Fosters, surprised friend Stephanie Huntington as part of his speech.

‘There has been someone else with us on our journey together - her name is Britney Spears. In a way, she’s kind of been the soundtrack of our lives,’ Bredeweg said.

In the description on the video, it says the two of them have been secretly obsessed with Britney Spears their entire friendship, so of course Britney had to be a part of the ceremony.

Four band members say they will always remember their gay singer and 'brother' who tragically and suddenly passed away in 2009

Irish boyband Boyzone have said they regret going on tour too soon after the death of their late bandmate Stephen Gately.

The gay singer passed away in 2009 from an undiagnosed heart condition at the age of just 33, and the band performed together two years later.

Speaking on This Morning yesterday (24 March), Mikey Graham said of their 2011 tour: ‘It was too early for us to go out. I don't think we were emotionally stable enough to go out on that tour.

Kylie Minogue gyrated with a troop of sexy dancers for a sell-out crowd at G-A-Y in London’s Heaven club.

The ‘Princess of Pop’ is considered queen of G-A-Y and her state visit was marked by a month-long celebration at its bar in Soho.

Her performance, promoting her latest album Kiss Me Once and new hit Sexercise, was the 11th of her career at the club night.

She wore a figure-hugging red dress for the show last night – conservative British tabloid newspaper the Daily Mail dubbed a ‘dominatrix’ outfit.

It's been nearly three weeks since the Academy Awards took place but Liza Minnelli still isn't laughing at the drag queen joke made at her expense by host Ellen DeGeneres.

'To tell you the truth I was surprised and then a little hurt,' she said Thursday during an interview with drag legend Coco Peru.

'We were there to celebrate mama.'

Minnelli was in the audience with sister Lorna Luft and brother Joey Luft to take a bow before the start of a tribute to The Wizard of Oz which starred their mother Judy Garland.

Brian May says Lambert 'the only singer' who can deliver as lead singer of their classic songs

Adam Lambert announced today that he will be performing with the two surviving members of the classic rock band Queen in a 19-date North American tour this summer.

Lambert appeared on ABC's Good Morning America with Brian May and Roger Taylor for the announcement.

The American Idol alum called May and Taylor 'rock royalty' and described Queen as 'one of the quintessential rock bands of all time - they have formed music no one's ever heard before.'

'They've influenced bands for years to come,' he added.

A song encouraging you to kiss girls or boys is changing country music and promoting a message of individuality and acceptance to its hesitant fans

‘Make lots of noise, kiss lots of boys or kiss lots of girls if that’s what you’re into.’

Seems fair enough right? Well not if you are a country radio DJ in a conservative market deep in the Bible belt of the American South it’s not. It’s more a rallying cry to join the dark side and give your soul to the devil.

At least that’s been the reaction to those lyrics in the song Follow Your Arrow by new country music superstar Kacey Musgraves.

As expected, Jared Leto won the best supporting actor Oscar Sunday (2 March) for his acclaimed performance of a transgender woman with AIDS in Dallas Buyers Club.

The awards season front-runner took the stage and accepted his Oscar from presenter Anne Hathaway and said: 'Incredible.'

Leto, who was accompanied to the Oscars by his mother and brother, paid tribute to his mom.

'She encouraged her kids to be creative and to work hard and to do something special,' he said. 'I love you mom and thank you for teaching me to dream.'

Jennifer Hudson has revealed how gay people enabled her to go from $25 gigs to winning an Oscar.

The 32-year-old singer and actress shot to fame after appearing on American Idol in 2004, but reveals her singing roots are in gay clubs.

‘I used to go to gay clubs when I was a kid,’ the ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ singer explained.

‘We were 16 or 17 and my best friend would pretend to be my manager.’

She added to V Magazine: ‘He’d have business cards made up and he’d negotiate for me to sing for $25 a song.

Blondie singer Debbie Harry has revealed that her band was approached to play during the Sochi Winter Olympics but turned down the offer over Russia’s human rights record.

Harry took to Twitter to post a photo of the offer by the Red Rocks Festival which is being held in Sochi as part of the Cultural Olympiad which surrounds the games.

On it she had written, ‘Pass – human rights.’

Blondie had been asked to travel to the games to perform in front of a crowd of 25,000 people during a 45 minute set on 13 February with a 9pm start.
