Diversity awards shortlists British LGBT champions

From activist Peter Tatchell to Trans Media Watch to GSN editor Tris Reid-Smith, the National Diversity Awards shortlist is out

Gay and trans activists and business people, including veteran campaigner Peter Tatchell, are in the finals to win Britain’s National Diversity Awards.

And the shortlist includes Gay Star News editor Tris Reid-Smith for the LGBT Entrepreneur of Excellence Award for his part in starting GSN.

Lesbian couple's wheelchair son launches campaign

Disabled teen wants to be first Prime Minister with cerebral palsy after setting up campaign site.

The disabled son of a lesbian couple has launched a website to fight back against businesses that don’t provide sufficient access for wheelchair users.

Wheelchair-bound Nathan Popple, 14, has cerebral palsy and was so furious after being unable to enter and go down the steps of the Merrion Centre’s AMF Bowling alley in Leeds, that he created the Accessible Leeds website.
