Neil Patrick Harris admits that it felt a bit odd to be sharing in his autobiography the details of what he and hubby David Burtka went through to become dads.

'I talk a lot about the details of having kids because I find it scientifically just fascinating that they're our actual DNA and that you can figure out that process and like weird visuals of being in a sterile room masturbating into a cup with a bigger plan in mind,' Harris said during a video Twitter chat this week.

Don't expect to see Rosie O'Donnell standing in line to buy tickets to the new James Franco-Seth Rogen comedy The Interview which opens in theaters on 24 December.

Threats of 9/11-type attacks have been made against theaters that show the film - threats from the hackers behind a major cyber attack against Sony, the studio releasing the movie.

O'Donnell said on The View today that she's too scared to go to a theater.

Rosie O’Donnell recently took the opportunity to share her thoughts on gay parenting in a video chat with GaysWithKids.com.

The website caught up with the TV star and actor ahead of her co-hosting stint at Cyndi Lauper’s recent fundraiser in New York in support of homeless LGBTI youth.

O’Donnell, who is mom to five children aged 19, 17, 15, 12 and two years, was asked what advice she would give to any gay people who aspired to become parents.

You have to be an awfully confident guy to put on giant platform shoes and sing and dance as a transgender punk rocker in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway.

But even Neil Patrick Harris, who won a Tony Award as Hedwig, can still have insecurities about acting and they reared their ugly head when he filmed his recent guest spot on TV's American Horror Story: Freak Show.

'I like acting very much except it has its own insecurities,' Harris said Monday (15 December) during a Twitter chat with fans.

'Of course the boys are going to be there, unfortunately Justin's not going to be able to go because that's his last date on tour,' Bass tells E! News.

The Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game picked up three Screen Actors Guild nominations on Wednesday (10 December).

The nominations are seen as providing crucial boosts for films hoping to score Oscar nods next month.

Benedict Cumberbatch was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor for his performance as Turing and co-star Keira Knightly earned a supporting actress nod for her work as Joan Clarke in the film.

Sandi Toksvig has converted her civil partnership to a marriage today (10 December).

The Danish-British presenter and her partner Debbie 'upgraded' their union at a registry office in London this afternoon.

Speaking on Lorraine, Toksvig said: 'It's time. It's a better quality - it's about not being a second class status. It's about being exactly the same as everyone else.

Brazilian mixed martial arts legend Anderson Silva has addressed rumors surrounding his sexuality and said there are many gay men in the sport.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight title-holder told Trip magazine a lot of people had asked him about his sexuality and teased him for his tidiness and good personal hygiene.

He said he answers, 'Look, not to my knowledge. But, I'm still young, it could be that in the future I'll find out that I'm gay.'

Anderson Cooper had an unexpected brush with British royalty when he found himself on the same flight as Prince William.

After William met with President Obama at The White House Monday (8 Monday), the future King of England took an afternoon US air shuttle flight back to New York City.

'There was this kind of buzz and excitement to see this guy come on the aircraft,' Cooper said on his show Anderson Cooper 360 on Monday. 'It's like seeing a rare gazelle or something.'

Two days after having an emergency appendectomy, Anderson Cooper returned to the air on CNN Tuesday not looking any worse for the wear.

Cooper, 47, did not mention his health scare at the top of Anderson Cooper 360 as he immediately jumped into a story on the ongoing situation in Ferguson, Missouri, where a police officer was not charged in the shooting death of an unarmed black teen.

CNN anchor tweets to concerned viewers that he was struck with 'appendicitis'

Anderson Cooper had a very good excuse for being absent from his nightly CNN show on Monday (1 December): He was in the hospital.

Cooper casually tweeted to his followers in Twitter: 'I'll be back on air tomorrow. Had an appendicitis and had to have sudden surgery last night.'

He was replaced on Anderson Cooper 360 for the night by John Berman.

It's official: Kathy Griffin will take over for Joan Rivers on the popular E! series Fashion Police.

Griffin's name had been mentioned as a possible successor immediately after Rivers' death this fall but she downplayed the possibility and other names were floated.

The show will return to the air on 12 January to critique the fashions worn at the Golden Globe Awards.

'I get it! These are some big shoes I'm going to fill. Joan was truly one of a kind,' Griffin said in a statement.

George Takei will be having Thanksgiving dinner tonight with husband Brad Takei and another couple at Tavern on the Green in New York City.

The Star Trek icon was among the celebrities who spoke with Gay Star News recently about their Thanksgiving plans and their favorite memories of the holiday.

For Takei, his most memorable Thanksgiving came after the end of World War II and his family was released from the internment camp they had been kept in because they were Americans of Japanese descent.

Barrowman flies home to be with family - gets row to himself on near empty plane

John Barrowman decided to travel on Thanksgiving Day.

'1st Thanksgiving with family and friends in almost 10 years. I'm hungry:)' the Arrow and Torchwood star tweeted from the airport.

He later tweeted that his plane was empty and 'had a row to myself.'

Barrowman was among the stars tweeting their thanks via Twitter before settling in to seriously stuff their faces on Thanksgiving Day.

Sabrina Jalees confesses that before she came out, she was ‘kinda homophobic’. The reason? Her own fear in dealing with her sexuality.

Sabrina grew up in Toronto. She is the daughter of a Swiss mother, Ursula Frei, and Pakistani father, Sayed Jalees.

Having realized that she was attracted to women, she reached a stage when she says that she was ‘sick of lying’, which meant coming out to her family – a process she compares to ‘cliff diving’ in terms of scariness.

Actress calls him her 'favorite person in the world'

Amanda Bynes has said her rumored boyfriend is not gay as they've had sex.

The 28-year-old actress said she was engaged to a 19-year-old called Caleb Pusey in October, a teen she met in rehab. It is believed they lived together for a short while in California.

When he denied the suggestion on his social media, Bynes then accused him of being gay.

She has now retracted this, saying on Twitter: 'Caleb is not gay we had sex (sic).

'He did talk about being gay but we had sex so he obviously is not.'
