First former communist country to do so

Slovenia has announced the legalisation of same-sex marriage, ahead of the country's growing 'Pink Week' travel concept in May.

Slovenian parliament voted in favor of gay marriage on Tuesday 3 March, making it the first former Yugoslavian/Balkan country to do so.

This is timely for Pink Week, a four-day LGBTI travel experience which welcomes travellers from around the world, and takes place for the second time this 28-31 May.

Get ready to go back behind bars for season three

Orange Is The New Black season three has a premiere date.

The Emmy-nominated women's prison drama will reveal its new episodes on 12 June.

If you've been behind bars for the past two years, it stars Taylor Schilling as Piper, a bisexual upper-middle class woman sent to jail for a drug running crime she committed a decade ago. Alex (Laura Prepon) plays her former (and now current) lover and inmate who helped send her to prison.

Starring more than 40 actors, it includes trans star Laverne Cox and lesbian singer Lea DeLaria.

Malik Yoba:  'He is gay, and he’s very committed to issues around the LGBT community'

On last week's episode of the Fox breakout hit Empire, the gay character of Jamal Lyon sung his way out of the closet in a dramatic performance.

Now Jussie Smollett, the actor who plays Jamal, is being outed as gay by co-star Malik Yoba.

'Jussie, he is gay, and he’s very committed to issues around the LGBT community. He and I have a very close relationship,' Yoba tells Black Film.

But Smollett isn't saying.

Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry born over the weekend

Actress and talk show host Sara Gilbert gave birth to her first child over the weekend with music producer Linda Perry.

The announcement was made on Monday (2 March) by Gilbert's co-hosts on The Talk.

'Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry was born on Saturday and both mother and child are doing well,' co-host Julie Chen told viewers.

Co-host Sharon Osbourne then held up a photo of the baby and Chen described it as 'Pure perfection.'

Adam Lambert has been voted the most eligible bachelor by the readers of Out Magazine besting Ricky Martin, Jonathan Groff and Steve Grand, among others.

It's the second year in row the American Idol alum has claimed the title.

This time he got a commanding 28% of the total votes and was able to withstand a flood of votes from Clay Aiken fans who catapulted their man to the number two spot.

The former couple has been living apart since November

Rosie O'Donnell and Michelle Rounds are making their separation, made public just three weeks ago, a permanent one.

O'Donnell filed for divorce on Friday in Manhattan State Supreme Court from her wife of less than three years. She cited 'an irretrievably broken relationship' as the grounds.

Russell Tovey was the only main cast member who was unable to participate in this week's An Evening With HBO's Looking in Beverly Hills but that doesn't mean he wasn't discussed.

The 33-year-old English actor plays video-game wunderkind Kevin Matheson on the show and his nude buff body was seen in the second season premiere of the show about a group of gay friends living in San Francisco.

Jonathan Groff, who has had many steamy sex scenes with Tovey over the past two seasons, admitted Tovey's nakedness can be a little intimidating.

Lesbian actress continues her TV comeback in the ABC comedy

Raven-Symoné has landed a guest-starring role on ABC comedy Black-ish.

The openly gay actress and singer will play Rhonda, Dre’s (Anthony Anderson) lesbian sister, who is just as uncomfortable talking about her sexuality as he is.

'The two have a playful rivalry in which they jockey for position in their mother’s (recurring guest star Jenifer Lewis) rankings that are released every December,' EW reports.

Celebrities including John Barrowman and Lance Bass have tweeted their confusion over Rivers' absence

A number of LGBT stars have taken to Twitter to criticize Oscar bosses for omitting Joan Rivers from the award ceremony's In Memoriam segment.

Last night (February 22), the academy paid tribute to the likes of late industry figureheads including Richard Attenborough and Robin Williams, but Rivers - who died on September 4 last year - was nowhere to be seen.

Jokes to audience after: 'That whole thing was completely improvised'

Neil Patrick Harris had hinted in interviews that he wouldn't open the Oscars with a musical number.

He lied.

The first-time Oscar host seemed to be opening with a traditional monologue when he took a shot at the lack of diversity in this year's nominees when he said they were here 'to honor Hollywood's best a whitest - I'm sorry! Best and brightest!'

He then quickly segued into a musical number filled with very current movie and pop culture references including the lyric 'I secretly hope someone pulls a Kanye West.'

Host, who had gotten gaunt for Hedwig and the Angry Inch, displays impressive physique

Neil Patrick Harris has been hitting the gym since ending his run as a gaunt transgender punk rock singer in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

On Sunday night's Academy Awards, this year's host stripped down to his underwear and displayed an impressively muscular physique.

So what was he doing in his skivvies?

Harris re-enacted one of the more memorable scenes from Best Picture nominee Birdman in which Michael Keaton's actor character gets locked out of a theater mid-play and must walk through New York's Times Square in his underwear to re-enter.

Neil Patrick Harris didn't bother to go to sleep after hosting Sunday's Academy Awards.

He returned to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood early today to appear on pal Kelly Ripa's morning show Live With Kelly and Michael where he was greeted with a standing ovation.

But reviews of the first-time Oscar host's performance were mixed following a very successful opening musical number.

'I'm glad that it's done and I'm sorry that I read Twitter,' said Harris.

Aussie pop star Dannii Minogue is the latest big name act to be announced for the party that follows Sydney’s biggest parade of the year

The organizers of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival have announced the next big star to perform at the Mardi Gras party that follows the parade.

Legendary Australian pop princess Dannii Minogue will be jetting into town for the 7 March party which will also see Nick Jonas, Jessica Mauboy, Destiny Haz Arrived, Betty Who, Courtney Act and Jake Shears perform.

It’s been sixteen years since Minogue last performed at the Mardi Gras Party and she’s promising a spectacle of stellar proportions.

Neil Patrick Harris told Ellen DeGeneres Wednesday (18 February) that he's been having nightmares and it's all her fault.

'How do you beat the selfie that broke the Internet?' this year's Oscar host asked last year's Oscar host.

Harris was speaking of the all-star selfie that DeGeneres engineered with the likes of Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Kevin Spacey, among others.

Rosie O'Donnell had very little to say about her personal life during her last day on The View this week but she opened up on The Dr. Oz Show Friday (13 February).

O'Donnell, who survived a near-fatal heart attack in 2012, has been dealing with the stress of working on a high-pressure daily show and a crumbling marriage.

'I'm doing everything that I can to take care myself, and I think Michelle is doing the same thing,' O'Donnell said of wife Michelle Rounds who she married in 2012.

The couple, who have a child together, split in November.

Taking it all off and strutting his stuff got a little easier the second time around for Matt Bomer.

The Golden Globe Award winning actor reprises his role as a sexy male stripper this July in Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to the 2012 film about a merry band of male strippers led by Channing Tatum.

While Tatum had experience as a stripper in real life, the role in the Magic Mike movies initially took Bomer out of his comfort zone.

Both lose Best British Film to The Theory of Everything

The writer and producer of Pride won the award for best debut at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards last night (8 February). 

However, the Imitation Game walked away empty handed despite nine nominations.

Screenwriter Stephen Beresford and producer David Livingstone took the award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for Pride.

Despite urging by her co-hosts, she didn't want to discuss leaving The View on Monday's show

Viewers who had learned over the weekend that Rosie 'Donnell was leaving The View were surprised when she did not discuss her departure on Monday's show.

She said in a YouTube video posted after the show that she doesn't plan to discuss it on Tuesday either and that her final day as full-time co-host will be on Thursday.

O'Donnell said her co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace had wanted her to discuss her leaving but it was her choice not to.

Rosie O'Donnell returned to ABC's The View on Monday without mentioning that this is expected to be her final week as a regular co-host.

News of O'Donnell's impending departure broke late Friday when her rep and ABC both confirmed that she would be leaving the show to focus on her family. It was also confirmed that O'Donnell had split from wife Michelle Rounds.

O'Donnell was given an opening to address the developments when moderator Whoopi Goldberg noted that she had had a big weekend.

Beloved gay icon takes award in Best Spoken Word Album category over John Waters, Jimmy Carter and James Franco, among others

Joan Rivers is a Grammy winner.

The late comedienne, who died last September, took home the recording industry's highest honor for the audio version of her 12th and final best selling book Diary of a Mad Diva.

Rivers had previously been nominated for a Grammy, a Tony and was the winner of a Daytime Emmy Award.

Neil Patrick Harris, already the winner of a Tony Award and four Emmys, missed out on adding a Grammy to his major showbiz honors on Sunday.

Nominated in the Best Cast Recording category for Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Harris lost to the cast album for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

Doing red carpet interviews with husband David Burtka, Harris broke news of the loss on live TV while chatting with Entertainment Tonight: 'We just found out we didn't win. The amazing musical Beautiful did. So I hate Carole King.'
