Gay singer Rufus Wainwright has said he fears, if he had a son, he would find him sexy.

We really hoping he's joking.

Speaking to The Times (£), the Canadian singer-songwriter said he is grateful to have recently fathered a daughter rather than a son because he would 'hate to be attracted' to a son.

Comic now in stable but critical condition at a New York hospital

Legendary comedienne Joan Rivers stopped breathing during a throat operation on Thursday (28 August).

The 81-year-old was being operated on at an outpatient clinic and was rushed to a New York hospital where she is reported to be in stable but critical condition.

'This morning, Joan Rivers was taken to The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she is being attended to,' said hospital rep Sid Dinsay.

Freeheld will tell the true story of one couple's fight for pension benefits after one of them becomes terminally ill

Steve Carell is joining Julianne Moore and Ellen Page to star in a film based on a landmark gay rights case.

Freeheld, directed by Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist's Petter Sollet, will tell the true story of Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree.

The couple fought to amend the Domestic Partnership Act, which grants pension benefits to domestic partners of all New Jersey public employees.

The couple were determined to make a change, after Ardeen (played by Page) was denied pension benefits of her Hester (Moore) when the latter became terminally ill.

Neil Patrick Harris is all wet.

And he can thank David Burtka who did the honors and dumped a bucket of ice water (with ice cubes still visible) on top of his Tony Award-winning fiance's head.

Their adorable kids Harper and Gideon make cameos as they laugh and scramble to get out of the way before daddy gets doused.

It all takes place on the front stoop of their New York City home.

Among those who challenged Harris to do the ALS challenge that is sweeping the US was Ben Affleck.

Openly gay actor John Barrowman and Arrow co-star Colton Haynes are the latest celebrities to take the ice bucket challenge sweeping the internet, aimed at raising awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Barrowman posted a video of him taking the challenge on 16 August, sitting on a deck chair wearing a Deathstroke t-shirt in Vancouver, getting his jock strap clad husband Scott Gill to dumb a bucket full of ice and water over him – though it took two attempts to empty the bucket.

US singer Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ is one of most recognizable pop songs of recent years, until ‘Wierd Al’ Yankovic came along with a host of famous friends.

In his unique twist on the popular song, Yankovic has created his own parody called ‘Tacky’.

Drag queen Jackie Beat asked trans actress Alexis Arquette to tell her a secret.

The secret turned out to be quite a whopper.

'I had sex with Jared Leto back when I was presenting as a male,' Arquette says in a Q&A published in Frontiers Magazine.

The actor's caricature is now hanging on the wall at Sardi’s restaurant.

Star Trek icon opens up about his signature phrase and blames Howard Stern for its popularity

At 77, George Takei is still saying 'Oh my!' whenever his signature phrase fits the situation.

Don't expect him to ever stop.

The Star Trek icon, subject of the new documentary To Be Takei, opened up in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly about why he so often uses those two words together as he goes through life.

'Oh my! I've been saying "Oh my!" my entire life,' he said.

He then offered some examples of when and how he says it.

National Enquirer story completey debunked by Harris spokesman as 'complete and utter nonsense'

David Burtka has been with Neil Patrick Harris for more than a decade and they are the parents of twins.

But since they are not married, the National Enquirer tabloid is referring to Burtka as the Tony winner's 'gay lover' in a story about an alleged fiery split.

In the left top corner of the tabloid is the headline: Neil Patrick Harris: Storm Out on Gay Lover.'

The proof?

Harris, set to wrap up his run as Broadway's Hedwig this weekend, was spotted leaving the couple’s New York City brownstone at least four times since June all by himself.

US pop singer Mariah Carey will be the cover model for the first issue of a new free magazine for Turkey’s LGBTI community which comes out tomorrow.

The Hurriyet Daily reports that Carey was enthusiastic about being a part of the project when contacted by staff at GayMag magazine.

An interview with Turkish actress and singer Hülya Avşar also appears in the first issue and staff at GayMag are confident that other Turkish celebrities will want to appear in the magazine in future issues.
