If Darren Criss had any reservations about being able to get into character for his upcoming role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway, he doesn't now.

All it took was some cosmetics.

'The first time I put on the makeup, you immediately become this sassy bitch because you just look at yourself and go, “Oh! Who is that?!”' he tells Playbill of his transformation into a transgender punk rocker.

'I was still very scared and insecure about being gay. I did the stupidest things'

Jonathan Groff may be one of the more famous openly gay actors around today but it always that way.

The star of HBO's Looking recalled this week how he made his boyfriend sit in the back of Radio City Music Hall the year Groff attended The Tony Awards as a nominee for Spring Awakening.

'I didn't bring him as my date,' Groff said while accepting an award from the Point Foundation Monday night.

Groff, now 30, had made a name for himself on Spring Awakening but was not ready to share with the world that he was gay at the age of 21.

Another brief promo for Bruce Jenner's chat with Diane Sawyer was released on Tuesday (14 April) as ABC continues to ratchet up interest highly-anticipated interview.

'My whole life has been getting me ready for this,' Jenner tells Sawyer in the interview which will air on a special two-hour edition of 20/20 on 24 April.

A voice-over then teases: 'Bruce Jenner. The interview. The journey. The decisions. The future.'

Darren Criss was tweeted out the first photo of his transformed into a transgender punk rocker for his upcoming role in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

The transformation involved taming Criss' famously thick eyebrows.

He's not telling how this was accomplished.

The longstanding LGBTI activist was in Sydney Monday (13 April) night with his husband Brad to attend the Game of Thrones premiere.

'It’s rather backward, I mean you don’t have marriage equality,' he told the Daily Telegraph.

Mario Lopez was grand marshal of the Miami Gay Pride Parade over the weekend and got a little grabby.

The Saved By the Bell star who now hosts the entertainment host Extra posted a fun pic of himself on Instagram of him grabbing a friend's butt and giving it a solid squeeze.

ABC News on Friday released the first official teaser for Diane Sawyer's upcoming interview with Bruce Jenner to air on 24 April.

The promo for the highly-anticipated two-hour special is vague when it comes to details but states it will cover 'the journey, the decisions,' and 'the future.'

The 65-year-old reality TV star has not publicly commented on his widely-reported transition to female.

This weekend's Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade will have as its grand marshal a Catholic guy with great abs named Mario Lopez.

The host of TV's Extra says he has no trouble reconciling his Catholic faith with his support of the LGBTI community and for its equality.

'Like the pope said, "Who am I to judge?"' Lopez tells The Miami Herald.

New details have emerged about Bruce Jenner's highly-anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer set to air on 24 April on ABC's 20/20.

Jenner reportedly sees the occasion as a 'farewell to Bruce' and is expected to present as a woman for the first time publicly.

But Jenner is not expected to wear female clothing or announce a name change, according to TMZ which cites sources close to Jenner and to the production.

The documentary, which featured the marriage of Benjamin Till and Nathan Taylor, was announced as part of the nominations for the Specialist Factual trophy today (8 April).

It has tough competition, with it facing David Attenborough's Conquest of the Skies, Grayson Perry: Who Are You? and The Great War: The People's Story.

Shown shortly after the first same-sex weddings began in England and Wales last year, it featured the grooms marrying in song.

Activists are raising money and funds for food for homeless LGBTI kids

Did learning a homophobic family-owned pizzeria has received over $800,000 leave a bad taste in your mouth?

Well some gay activists are hoping to fill it with goodness once again as a campaign has been launched to help raise money for LGBTI homeless kids.

The campaign, called #Pizza4Equality, is hoping to beat the $842,000 given to Indiana restaurant Memories Pizza after the owners said they would use the 'religious freedom' law to turn away LGBTI business.

Tweets saying true love only 'expressed between a man and a woman through marriage' result in backlash

Controversy was the furthest thing away from David Archuleta when as a high school teen, he sang his way to a runner-up finish during seven season of American Idol.

But over the weekend Archuleta found himself in hot water on social media after he posted a pair of tweets that were seen by many as his saying that gay couples could never achieve real love.

The tweets read in part that 'love is nourished by the coming of children, who spring from the fountain of love expressed between a man and woman in marriage.'

Olympic champion turned reality TV star expected to discuss changing appearance and recent fatal car crash

ABC News confirmed today that Bruce Jenner will be the subject of a two-hour interview special by Diane Sawyer that will air on 24 April.

The interview is expected to cover the 1976 Olympic gold medalist's changing appearance and reported gender transitioning as well as a recent car accident that resulted in a woman's death.

Titled Bruce Jenner - The Interview, the network descries the special as a 'far-ranging, exclusive interview.'
