Doctor Who’s crime-fighting lesbian couple will be coming home for Christmas, it was announced yesterday (16 November).

Silurian Madame Vastra and her human female companion Jenny will return on 25 December in an episode called The Snowmen.

Played by Neve McIntosh and Catrin Stewart, the characters found popularity with fans when the two starred in the season six mid-series finale A Good Man Goes To War.

Lesbian alien companion rumored for Doctor Who

Fan favorite Madame Vastra could return in season 7 of the British science fiction show

While we know next to nothing about the future season of Doctor Who, there are rumors the Time Lord could be joined by a lesbian alien.

According to the Daily Star, Sirulian Madame Vastra is set to return in the latter half of season seven of Britain’s favorite science fiction show, airing in 2013.

Vastra, played by Neve McIntosh, found popularity with fans when she starred in the season six mid-series finale, A Good Man Goes To War.
