Colin Ireland, the killer of five gay men in London, UK, has died in jail

A serial killer who tortured gay men to death in the UK has died in prison.

Colin Ireland, 57, was jailed for life after admitting attacking and killing five gay men he met in London pubs in 1993.

The notorious 'gay slayer' is presumed to have died from natural causes at Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire, the Prison Service said yesterday.

After making a New Year's resolution to become a serial killer, the ex-soldier posed as a gay man, meeting his victims at a pub in the capital's Fulham area.

On the first day of the year of the dragon Tongzhi Rights Movement has issued a happy new year message and a statement. It says that over 2011 the gay rights movement in China became more entrepreneurial and that their organisation was committed to working hard 'day and night' for LGBT rights.

The message continues saying that 2012 is a 'new starting point, a new journey, new development, we firmly believe that the majority of people in support of the gay rights movement will full of more enthusiasm, confidence and spirit.'

The skating star tweeted this simple message on Saturday: 'I'm married!'

The other groom is Georgetown Law School grad Victor Voronov who quickly changed his twitter name to Victor Weir-Voronov and posted a photo of the newly-wed pair.

EastEnders insiders have not revealed how she will die, although it is expected to be either from cancer or a heart attack.

Decades of gin and fags led to Pat having a heart attack in 2010, but she quickly recovered after having a pacemaker fitted.

The New Zealand Defence Force is setting up a formal support network in the new year for its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff.

The network will allow meetings during work time, resources to publish newsletters, maintain a resource page on the internal NZDF intranet and conduct meetings using video telephone conferencing equipment.
