That's the persistent buzz, from unnamed sources, surrounding the outspoken co-host who began her second stint on the show this fall. O'Donnell had been moderator of the program during a stormy 2006-07 season.

Barbara Walters, the show's creator who retired as a co-host last spring, was asked by Extra this week about rumors suggesting O'Donnell will not last the season.

The View co-host also accuses conservative network of not always being factually correct

It wasn't like Rosie O'Donnell's former nemesis on The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, was going to be sending her a Christmas card anyway.

O'Donnell blasted Hasselbeck's current employer, Fox News, during a discussion on Tuesday (4 November) about Ben Stein's controversial comments about President Obama who he called racist.

'It was on Fox News, which I think just likes to incite a lot of hate and is not always factually correct,' said O'Donnell.

Sherri Shepherd, a former co-host of ABC's The View, relentlessly made fun of current co-host Rosie O'Donnell during a television interview this week.

Shepherd appeared in Good Morning America to promote her role in the Broadway musical Cinderella and said she still watches the show she co-hosted for seven years before departing in the summer.

Shepherd kicked off her Rosie ribbing by lifting up her leg which O'Donnell did during her first show this season. O'Donnell returned to the show after quitting in 2007 after one stormy year.

Rosie O'Donnell told the audience of ABC's The View of Wednesday (22 October) that she had plastic surgery to take care of a droopy eyelid.

She made the disclosure during a discussion about Oscar winning actress Renee Zellweger who appeared at a red carpet event this week looking very different than she has in the past.

The has led to widespread speculation about what Zellweger may or may not have had done to her face.

Rosie O'Donnell, a victim of child molestation herself, expressed shock on The View Thursday (9 October) over allegations against 7th Heaven star Stephen Collins.

'It devastates everyone in the radius of that person because it's a shocking allegation,' O'Donnell said of Collins. 'For me, I always have my antennae up, having had a childhood with that.'

Collins, who played a pastor on the long-running TV drama, allegedly admits to molesting multiple children in a tape was released this week from a therapy session with his estranged wife, Faye Grant.

Seven years after her fiery exit from The View, ABC officially confirmed today that Rosie O'Donnell is returning to the show - and the fireworks have already begun.

According to TMZ, O’Donnell is in 'active negotiations' to rejoin. She is the only lesbian to have been a permanent host on the show since its debut in 1997.

It will be a much smaller Rosie O'Donnell who returns to ABC's The View next month when a reunion of former co-hosts takes place to pay tribute to a departing Barbara Walters.

O'Donnell took to Twitter this week to update her more than 740,000 followers in her weight loss effort which has reached nearly 50 pounds.

Posting before and after photos, O'Donnell commented: 'Almost 50 lbs off – I can see it now.'

She had reached a high of 230 pounds and turned to weight loss surgery to help take off the pounds.

Rosie O'Donnell says she was about to come out publicly as a lesbian a full decade before she actually did so in 2002.

The funny lady, who had just become a big star in the film A League of Their Own, was being interviewed in 1992 by a writer for Cosmopolitan when she was asked if she was a lesbian.

'He said, "Are you gay?" and I said yes,' O'Donnell said this week on Mondays With Marlo, a web series hosted by Marlo Thomas.

She said the magazine's legendary editor, the late Helen Gurley Brown, took out that section of the interview.

Former co-host appears on ABC daytime show for first time since stormy 2007 exit after blow-up with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Rosie O'Donnell returned to ABC's The View on Friday and the first thing she wanted to know was this: 'Is Hasselbeck here?'

The former co-host knew, of course, that the conservative Hasselbeck had left the show lasrt year to join Fox News Channel. But she couldn't help but joke about the mother of all on-air battles that resulted in O'Donnell leaving the show and never returning.

'We had some good times, we had some bad times, but they were never boring,' co-host and executive producer Barbara Walters said as she introduced O'Donnell.

Former co-host of The View will guest on show where she and Elisabeth Hasslebeck once bitterly squared off

Rosie O'Donnell is heading back to The View - for just one day.

The lesbian television personality and actress ended her stormy year as moderator on the ABC talk show in 2007 with a heated argument with her conservative co-host Elisabeth Hassleback.

The argument (see video below) was one thing, but the fact that producers chose to put the women on a split-screen during part of it so enraged O'Donnell that she left three weeks before the end of her contract.

O'Donnell will appear on the show on 7 February.

After a 2012 that had them both dealing with serious health issues, Rosie O'Donnell and wife Michelle Rounds have started 2013 with some good news: a newborn baby.

The couple announced via Twitter on Wednesday (9 January) that they are parents: 'we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota – #withloveandthanks – AMEN.'

Dakota was born last Saturday (5 January) weighing in at 5 pounds, 5 ounces. O'Donnell's spokesperson says 'Moms and baby are happy and healthy.'
