Rosie O'Donnell had very little to say about her personal life during her last day on The View this week but she opened up on The Dr. Oz Show Friday (13 February).

O'Donnell, who survived a near-fatal heart attack in 2012, has been dealing with the stress of working on a high-pressure daily show and a crumbling marriage.

'I'm doing everything that I can to take care myself, and I think Michelle is doing the same thing,' O'Donnell said of wife Michelle Rounds who she married in 2012.

The couple, who have a child together, split in November.

Departing co-host jokes: 'Now see if that was everyday I would have stayed'

Wearing a bright yellow blazer, Rosie O'Donnell exited The View today as upbeat as she was when she first rejoined the show last fall.

She was greeted with a standing ovation from the audience and from her co-hosts and with chants of 'Rosie! Rosie!'

She joked: 'Now see if that was everyday I would have stayed.'

The co-hosts had come out dancing to Flo Rida’s Low and O'Donnell pointed to herself and told the crowd that co-host Rosie Perez 'was impressed with shortie getting low, low, low.'

Despite urging by her co-hosts, she didn't want to discuss leaving The View on Monday's show

Viewers who had learned over the weekend that Rosie 'Donnell was leaving The View were surprised when she did not discuss her departure on Monday's show.

She said in a YouTube video posted after the show that she doesn't plan to discuss it on Tuesday either and that her final day as full-time co-host will be on Thursday.

O'Donnell said her co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace had wanted her to discuss her leaving but it was her choice not to.

Rosie O'Donnell returned to ABC's The View on Monday without mentioning that this is expected to be her final week as a regular co-host.

News of O'Donnell's impending departure broke late Friday when her rep and ABC both confirmed that she would be leaving the show to focus on her family. It was also confirmed that O'Donnell had split from wife Michelle Rounds.

O'Donnell was given an opening to address the developments when moderator Whoopi Goldberg noted that she had had a big weekend.

Rosie O'Donnell is buying none of NBC News anchor Brian Williams' explanation for why he falsely claimed to be on a helicopter that was forced down by rocket-propelled grenade fire during the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003.

'It’s a blatant lie. It’s a Lance Armstrong lie,' O'Donnell said on Thursday's edition of ABC's The View.

Armstrong is the disgraced former Tour de France champion who for years denied using performance enhancing drugs only to later admit he had.

O'Donnell, 52, showed off her trimmer body earlier this month when she wore a dress for the first time on ABC's The View.

'It was very weird for me,' she told viewers last week. 'I still have trauma, remembering it.'

O'Donnell admitted that she sometimes feels 'vulnerable' about how she looks and that after she appeared in her dress, she 'had therapy and the whole two hours was about the dress.'
