Mexican food chain sued Grammy-winning singer after he backed out of singing on ad he had received advance for

Frank Ocean paid up in the end - but he wasn't happy about it.

The Grammy-winning singer had been sued by Mexican food chain Chipotle for $212,500 after it had paid him that much as an advance for singing a song for an ad.

Ocean was to perform a remake of Pure Imagination for an animated ad titled The Scarecrow which is the companion film for Chipotle's new app-based game (see video below).

Was thought singer told Brown off for refusing to stand for Frank Ocean, but she denies it

Chris Brown made a very public statement about his feelings for fellow R&B singer Frank Ocean during the Grammy Awards on Sunday (10 February) by refusing to join in on a standing ovation when Ocean took to the stage to receive one of the two awards he won that night.

A photo, in which is appears as though Adele is giving Brown a piece of her mind for his rudeness, quickly went viral as did the story of a sharp tongue-lashing.

R&B artist most famous for beating up Rihanna has said people should 'focus on what matters'

R&B artist Chris Brown has compared himself to Jesus after his fight with openly gay singer Frank Ocean.

The ‘Don’t Judge Me’ singer posted a mural of the central Christian figure on his Instagram account, saying ‘Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!’

Brown posted the painting after it was revealed Los Angeles police are wishing to speak to him for allegedly punching Ocean.

As Ocean stayed to give police a statement, and Brown fled the scene, the gay singer is now being treated as the victim.

Law enforcement authorities seeking Brown for questioning

Frank Ocean, the openly gay R&B star nominated for six Grammys this year, claims he was punched by fellow R&B star Chris Brown in the parking lot of a recording studio in West Hollywood on Sunday (27 January).

The altercation was apparently over a parking spot.

Ocean took to Twitter after the altercation and tweeted: 'got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there...cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys.'

Openly gay R&B artist is reportedly pressing charges against the singer famous for beating up Rihanna

Openly gay R&B singer Frank Ocean is reportedly pressing charges against Chris Brown following their fight.

Brown is accused of punching the ‘Thinking Bout You’ singer at the Westlake Studio in Los Angeles on Sunday (27 January), after an argument allegedly about a parking space.

Ocean stayed to give police a statement and is now being treated as a victim, while Brown had left the scene by the time officers had arrived.

As gay singer Frank Ocean finished off his 2012 with his debut album Channel Orange being nominated for several Grammys, it must have left him feeling pretty invincible.

Sadly, it didn’t begin well as he started off his 2013 by being busted for possessing marijuana.

The R&B star was pulled over for speeding through Mono County, California, in the early hours of New Year’s Day reportedly driving 90mph in a 65mph zone in his black BMW, TMZ reports.

The HMS Ocean battleship’s camp mime-along to Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas became a YouTube hit.

And gay celebrities got in on the excitement, with Lord of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellen sharing it with Anthony Cotton – from long-running TV soap Coronation Street and the original UK Queer As Folk.

‘It was glorious and made me laugh and cry with joy,’ said Cotton, who put the link out via Twitter.

Odd Future rapper is nominated for five Grammy awards, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Album of the Year

Gay artist Frank Ocean is tied for the most Grammy nominations in the 55th annual list, it was announced late Wednesday (5 December).

The ‘Channel Orange’ rapper includes some of the most eagerly awaited categories: Album of the Year for his debut, Record of the Year for ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ and Best New Artist.

He is also nominated for Urban Contemporary Album and Rap/Sung Collaboration for ‘No Charge In The Wild’ which he performed with renowned rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West.

R&B and Hip-Hop singer Frank Ocean may have got the most attention of the openly gay Grammy nominees announced on Thursday (5 November) evening.

But he's not the only LGBT nominee this year.

Gay musician Dave Koz was nominated in the Best Pop Instrumental Album for his Live at the Blue Note Tokyo album and bisexual actress and comedienne Margaret Cho is a nominee in the Best Comedy Album category for Cho Dependent: Live in Concert.

US rapper Lil Wayne controversially references R&B singer Frank Ocean's sexuallity in new rap song

US rapper Lil Wayne has controversially referenced R&B singer Frank Ocean's sexuality in a new rap song.

Featuring on a remixed version of Future’s new single ‘Turn On The Lights’, Wayne raps: ‘Tell her I skate/ I ain’t got no worries/ No Frank Ocean, I’m straight.’

The lyric is a clear reference to the R&B singer, who revealed earlier this year his first love was a man.

It is not the first time Wayne has been accused of using homophobic lyrics in his songs. In his song Georgia Bush, he says: 'Got money out the ass/no homo but I'm rich.'

But now he's got fellow singer Stevie Wonder speculating about whether Ocean really is gay.

In an interview with the UK's Guardian, Wonder was asked if he was surprised that there could still be such a furor, in the year 2012, about a performer such as Ocean coming out as gay.

Homophobic US rapper has change of heart after President Barack Obama backed same-sex marriage

US rapper 50 Cent has made a surprising u-turn on his previously homophobic stance by supporting gay hip hop star Frank Ocean and same-sex marriage.

The Get Rich or Die Tryin' artist has had his knuckles wrapped more than once for voicing his anti-gay views.

But now the New Yorker seems to have had a change of heart, standing up for hip hop singer Frank Ocean after he revealed his first love was a man.

Odd Future member recalls how he first fell in love with a man

One of R&B’s rising stars, Frank Ocean, has come out as bisexual.

Ocean, 24, famous for being a member of Odd Future, published a screenshot of a text document on his tumblr that revealed his sexuality today (4 July).

The document, titled ‘Thank You’, was written on a plane between New Orleans and Los Angeles, and was originally meant to be in the album notes for his new record Channel Orange.
