Sometimes, Anderson Cooper just gets a bad case of the giggles - on national television.

The latest gigglefest occurred this week on his CNN show Anderson Cooper 360 during the nightly 'RidicuList' segment. He was talking about Dyngus Day, a Polish-American celebration marking the end of Lent.

One of the traditions is girls striking boys with a pussy willow branch and that is what got Cooper giggling. At first just a little bit as he tried to maintain his composure.

But it was soon clear that he was going to completely lose it.

Gay student jailed for taking mum to ‘Chicago’

Matthew Banks has been imprisoned over Christmas for missing jury duty

Nineteen-year-old Matthew Banks will spend this Christmas in jail – for missing jury service to take his mother to see the musical Chicago in London's West End.

University of Manchester languages student Banks had been bought the tickets by boyfriend Christian Orr, before the British courts had requested him for jury service.

Banks had been on jury service for two weeks, but as far as Orr was concerned his partner was not expected to be present in court on the day of the show.
