Catholic group claims ‘gay’ dog rescued from death is anti-straight discrimination

The president of a Catholic group aimed at defending religious liberties has claimed that the rescue of a dog that was due to be put down because its owner thought he was gay shows anti-straight bias

The president of America’s Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has claimed that a dog being saved from being put down after its owner refused to care for him because he thought he was gay is evidence of pro-gay and anti-straight bias.

You've kept us coo-ing and ahh-ing all week with your pictures and videos of your cute pets for our Gay Pet Month competition.

We've seen a whole selection of photos ranging from friendly felines to dainty adorable dogs which are now in the running for winning that big prize.

Gay Star News and Direct Line pet insurance get together to celebrate the first ever Gay Pet Month this October

We love our pets and so have teamed up with Direct Line to spend a whole month celebrating them.

Gay Pet Month is our chance for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight animal lovers to get their tongues wagging and lots of tails wagging about everything fluffy, feathery, furry and friendly.

And before you ask, no, the pets don’t have to be gay. Though it would be nice if they weren’t homophobes.
