'I've spent an infuriating 24 hours and I want you to help explain why I've had to go through this,' said an aggrieved Morgan who opened up the program with a 1:35 question/statement explaining his fury.

CNN host tweets: 'As for all the "transgender community members" currently sending me vicious abuse - I'm truly sorry....that you're so ignorant'

Piers Morgan is under fire for his interview with transgender advocate Janet Mock which aired this week and he's plenty irritated about it.

'As for all the "transgender community members" currently sending me vicious abuse - I'm truly sorry....that you're so ignorant,' Morgan tweeted Wednesday afternoon in reponse to accusations that the CNN host was disrespectful to Mock.

Mock takes particular issue with some of the promos to her interview.

‘I told Trayvon it might have been a rapist,’ Jeantel told Morgan.

‘People need to understand, he didn’t want that creepy ass cracker going to his father or girlfriend’s house … his little brother was there.’

Television host Piers Morgan is facing the wrath of God-fearing Americans after calling for an 'amendment' to the Bible to allow gay marriage.

The former British newspaper editor compared the Good Book to the US constitution while interviewing celebrity pastor Rick Warren on his CNN chat show.

Suggesting Christians should change the word of God to fit with public opinion on same-sex marriage laws, Morgan said: 'Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it.'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called being gay ‘ugly’, compared it to stealing, and said it ‘ceases procreation’.

In an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan, Ahmadinejad told the British broadcaster Western countries should not expect the Middle East to recognize homosexuality as normal.

When Ahmadinejad was asked by Morgan how great it would be if the Iranian president was for gay rights, the conservative Muslim rejected the suggestion.

Gay Australian Olympic trampolinist Ji Wallace has publicly revealed he is HIV positive while attending the London 2012 games.

Wallace opened up about his HIV status in a letter sent to the Star Observer, saying he was inspired by US diver Greg Louganis's experience of living with the virus and being gay.

'I have been contemplating writing this for a while,' the athlete told the Aussie newspaper.
