Former *NSYNC star jokes that he bets Franklin D Roosevelt was gay and in a loveless relationship

Former *NSYNC star Lance Bass has said he is ‘sure’ there has been a gay US president.

The former boyband singer was finished judging the Queen of the Universe Pageant when TMZ asked him about his thoughts on a gay commander-in-chief.

‘Statistically speaking, I’m sure that someone in the White House has definitely slept with the same sex. I would definitely go out and say that, yes,’ Bass said.

‘There’s been rumors,’ Bass joked. ‘I’m looking at you, Roosevelt.’

While gay marriage is slowly spreading - state by state - in the US, none of the states where it has become legal have been in the South.

Mississippi native Lance Bass, engaged to marry actor Michael Turchin, is confident that is about to change.

'We’re here; our feet are planted here in Mississippi, and we can tell you by experience that there’s tons of support down here,' Bass says in a video released Thursday (13 March) by Southerners for the Freedom to Marry.

Lance Bass may have come out to the world back in 2006 but his 'N Sync bandmate Joey Fatone was already in on the news.

In fact, Fatone found out years earlier while the band was still together.

'Joey walked in on me with the guy I was dating just kind of sitting on my lap. Straight guys don’t do that,' recalled this week on Access Hollywood.

In the past 12 years, Lance Bass has been many things.

He tried to become an astronaut, he became an openly gay man, he penned his autobiography, he appeared on Broadway, he's produced some indie movies, he was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, and he's now hosting a daily radio show.

One thing he has not done is release any new music.

That has now changed with the release of a new single called Walking on Air which is a collaboration between Bass, Anise K, Bella Blue and Snoop Dogg.

Reality show star complains he does not get the same recognition because he has always been open about his sexuality

X Factor UK loser Rylan Clark has complained about the attention Olympic diver Tom Daley has got for coming out.

The TV personality, who won Celebrity Big Brother in January this year, congratulated the diver but said it wasn’t ‘big news’.

Clark told The Sun: ‘Not to take anything away from Tom, it is still hard to come out, but I haven’t come out as gay yet I don’t think.

‘What about people like Alan Carr, Gok Wan, Graham Norton and me – people who are on TV who have never hidden their sexuality?

‘What do we get? We don’t get recognition.

Miley Cyrus and model Cara Delevingne sure know how to milk a gimmick.

After licking sledgehammers, wrecking balls and various other objects, the ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer has decided to lick someone else.

On 26 December, Cyrus tweeted a sexy snap of her with English model Delevingne.

The Instagram shot shows the two kissing as a graphic rainbow appears to beam from behind them both.

‘LOVE!!!!!We finally got the filmed developed Mush,’ Cyrus said.

Hong Kong LGBT Pride drew over 5,000 marchers and supporters this year.

Gay Star News photographed locals and visitors from neighboring countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Thailand and the Philippines, all who took to the streets to celebrate the theme of 'We stand for love. We stand for LGBT'.

The streets were flowing in rainbow and red, the signature color of this year's parade to signify love.

During an appearance in Germany this week, she set the record straight.

A gay Welsh artist has painted a picture of Miley Cyrus, but not with any old paintbrush. He used his tongue.

Nathan Wyburn, a 23-year-old artist, shot to fame on the 2011 series of Britain’s Got Talent with his pop culture portraits using everyday items like coffee, pasta, and Marmite on toast.

So what made Wyburn want to tongue Miley Cyrus?

Speaking to Gay Star News, he said he wanted to created the painting after every single picture he saw of Cyrus after the Video Music Awards was her with her tongue out.

ARTPOP star joins the likes of George Takei and Stephen Fry in calling for the Sochi Winter Olympics to be moved

Lady Gaga has called for a boycott of the Winter Olympics due to be held in Sochi, Russia next year.

She said as someone who cares deeply for human rights, it does not make sense to go to a place where the LGBT community is victim to 'gay propaganda' laws.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: 'I care so much about these issues and I don’t think we should be bringing any commerce to a country which enforces such a lack of equality and a lack of human rights.

Scissor Sister Ana Matronic has revealed she had to keep a gay dad a secret.

The 38-year-old ‘Filthy/Gorgeous’ singer and spoken about her childhood and how her mother and father separated when she was three.

Speaking to The Metro, she said her mom told her and her sister she had split up because her dad was homosexual.

‘I kept that to myself as I grew up, knowing a lot of people would disapprove,' she said.

Singer says Applause out a week early because it was leaked

Lady Gaga did not plan to release her new single, Applause, until next week.

So why is it out today?

The song surfaced online over the weekend and Gaga was furious.

'Lord, in HEAVEN Why,' she tweeted. 'YOU COULDN'T JUST WAIT'

Gaga also commiserated with Katy Perry whose song Roar was also leaked.

'Wanna grab some shovels and fuck up some hackers?' she tweeted to Perry.

Gaga officially released the song today along with a photo 'to accompany this emergency.'

'Russian LGBTs you are not alone. We will fight for your freedom'

Lady Gaga is taking on the Russian government and its anti-gay law that prohibits anyone from showing support for LGBT people.

The singer defied the law when she performed in the country last December when she said during her performance: 'Tonight, this is my house Russia. You  can be gay in my house.'

On Twitter this afternoon, Gaga issued this challenge to the government: 'Why didn't you arrest me when you had the chance, Russia? Because you didn't want answer to the world?'

She also sent out support to the gay community in Russia.

Backstreet Boys' new video has a female couple celebrating the recent US Supreme Court Proposition 8 decision

The Backstreet Boys are commemorating 20 years of making music with a tour, new album and song that shows support for marriage equality.

The world's biggest-selling boy band introduced a music video today (19 July) on the ABC morning news show Good Morning America.

In A World Like This is the title song of their new album, which will be released at the end of the month.

Ernst & Young must not have looked at Google Image when they rebranded as EY, the same name of a Spanish gay interest magazine

When one of the biggest accounting firms in the world decided to rebrand their image, they must not have realized exactly what they had done.

UK-based multinational professional services company Ernst & Young decided to change their name to EY, what they call a ‘strengthened and modernized’ image.

Unfortunately, EY Megateen is also the name of a magazine aimed at gay men based in Spain that frequently has plenty of young guys posing in their underwear.

Rosie O'Donnell and others use Kinky Boots to pay tribute on 30th anniversary of song's release

Cyndi Lauper, beloved by the LGBT community for her tireless activism, came on to the scene in a big way 30 years ago with her joyful anthem Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

To mark the occasion, some of her famous fans grabbed some footwear from Kinky Boots (the hit Broadway musical for which Lauper is Tony Award nominated for writing the songs) and did some serious lip syncing - and hamming it up!

Fun to see girls like Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Katie Couric, Kelly Ripa, Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb just having so much fun.

A Norwegian comedy show tricked five young fans of the Canadian heartthrob to win free tickets for his concert in Oslo

Five teen girls were the unwitting victims in a TV show’s stunt which saw them ‘convert to Islam’ in order to receive free Justin Bieber concert tickets.

On a Norwegian comedy show, the young fans were forced to remove their make-up, put on hijabs, and repeat ‘Justin Bieber is impure and probably gay’ in Arabic.

The show’s host Ann-Kat Haerland defended the show, saying: ‘We wanted to find out how far Norwegian “Beliebers” are willing to go for tickets to one of Bieber’s concert.

Two of the biggest British boybands reignite their long-running feud on Twitter

The Wanted’s Tom Parker has called on One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson to come out as gay.

The two British boybands reignited their feud on Twitter in the early hours of this morning (8 April), when Parker questioned why One Direction kept making references to The Wanted on their tour.

After several low blows, with Tomlinson telling Parker to ‘enjoy the press’ from the argument, Parker responded by implying the 21-year-old heartthrob is gay.
