Port Talbot Town FC midfielder Daniel Thomas released on bail pending further investigation into alleged homophobic Twitter message about Olympic divers

Welsh footballer Daniel Thomas has been arrested after allegedly tweeting homophobic abuse about British Olympic divers Tom Daley and Peter Waterfield.

It follows his suspension from Port Talbot Town FC and an internal investigation into whether the player sent the offensive tweet, which said the Olympians can ‘go and bum each other’ as a consolation to missing out on a medal in Monday’s 10-meter platform event in London.
