Janet Jackson has announced her first venture into film production will be a documentary about transgender people around the world.

The star will executive produce the film called Truth, as well as conduct on-screen interviews, reported Q News.

In a statement, Jackson said: 'I've been fortunate to make friends and learn about very different lives.
