Says SB 1062 'has the potential to create more problems that it purports to solve ... It could divide Arizona in ways we cannot even imagine'

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer ended days of suspense by announcing she has vetoed the state's controversial 'turn away the gays' law.

Brewer said at an evening press conference Wednesday (26 February) that the proposed legislation 'has the potential to create more problems that it purports to solve.'

The controversial SB 1062 was passed last week by the Republican controlled state Senate a day after it passed in the House chambers.

As Republican National Convention comes to Florida, a gay Florida 'spa' is hoping to reap the benefits

A gay Florida bathhouse is hoping to reap the benefits as the Republican National Convention comes to town next week.

As Joe. My. God. Blogger Joe Jervis reported, Ybor Resort and Spa will be offering GOP delegates free admission.

The spa, which describes itself as the ‘largest, all gay, private men’s club, resort, and bathhouse’ in Tampa Bay, is advertising the special RNC deal on its website.

As most of the GOP presidential hopefuls slugging it out at today's Iowa Caucuses remain steadfastly against LGBT equality, the wife and daughter of the 2008 Republican nominee are no longer toeing the party line.

Sen. John McCain's wife, Cindy, and daughter, Meghan, have posed for photographer Adam Bouska for a joint portrait for the NOH8 campaign which celebrated its third anniversary in December.

It is the second time the McCains have posed for a NOH8 portrait but previously they had posed separately.
