Famed singer purchases photos of hunky men for his million-dollar collection

With a net worth of over $320 million, you’d figure Sir Elton John would own just about everything he could desire.

Apparently not, as the Tiny Dancer singer has added yet another set of photographs to his legendary collection, from photographer Ross Watson.

The collection, featuring several shots of semi-naked hunks, will be on display in Melbourne, Australia from January.

Watson caught up with Sir Elton and his son Zachary in Melbourne during the singer's sell-out tour of Australia.

Australian fine artist Ross Watson, whose paintings hang in the homes of Sir Elton John and Sir Ian McKellan, has sold his latest work for $50,000 (Australian dollars, $50,300, €40,000).

The piece, sold to a private collector in New York, places Bel Ami porn actor Kris Evans in the center of a detail from Caravaggio’s The Calling of St Matthew.

Gay Australian artist Ross Watson has painted a portrait of Stephen Fry in Wellington

Stephen Fry sat for a painting by Australian artist Ross Watson in Wellington, New Zealand last weekend at the end of the actor's three month stay in the country filming Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.

Fry was introduced to Watson's work by Lance Corporal James Wharton, the first person to hold a civil partnership ceremony in a British army barracks, whom Watson painted last year.
