It seems George Takei isn't president of the Ryan Gosling fan club.

The Star Trek icon - he played Sulu in the original TV series and feature films - was asked about things he thinks are overrated these days.

He mentioned that actors are - and one actor in particular.

'I don’t know what all this hoo-ha about Ryan Gosling is about,' Takei tells Huffington Post.

'He’s more often boring than not.'

Why Michael Fassbender's predominantly heterosexual character in Shame ends up in a gay bath house

Michael Fassbender was nominated for a Golden Globe Award on Thursday and finds himself competing in a most handsome leading man field that also includes George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Fassbender's nod came for his performance as a sex addict living in New York City in the film Shame.

His character of Brandon is addicted to sex and has no emotional connection to any of the women he picks up or the female prostitutes he pays for. In one scene, he even has sex with a man he meets when he goes to a gay bathhouse.
