The first picture of Hollywood bisexual actress Lindsay Lohan playing the legendary HIV activist and film star Elizabeth Taylor has been released.

The film Liz and Dick, also featuring True Blood actor Grant Bowler, tells the tumultuous love story between classic movie actress Elizabeth Taylor and Welsh actor Richard Burton.

'I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor,' Lohan said in a statement. 'She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.'

After years of legal and personal troubles, Lindsay Lohan appears to be on the road to becoming a productive citizen again.

Lohan, who dated DJ Samantha Ronson in 2008 and 2009, received a glowing report Wednesday (22 February) from a Los Angeles judge during a probation hearing.

Lohan, the star of such hits films as Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and Herbie: Fully Loaded, is in the final phase of a five-month sentence that included court-ordered community service and therapy sessions.
