It is the Songkran festival again in much of Southeast Asia, but Thailand has easily stolen the spotlight from its neighours.

With maximum temperatures topping 95°F (35°C) at the hottest time of the year in Bangkok, it is only natural that people are happily getting into wet and wild water fights, which originated as a way to pay respect to people and also mark the traditional Thai New Year.
