Gays from around Asia and the world have flocked to the Thai capital to enjoy the annual water fights and other celebratory events

It is the Songkran festival again in much of Southeast Asia, but Thailand has easily stolen the spotlight from its neighours.

With maximum temperatures topping 95°F (35°C) at the hottest time of the year in Bangkok, it is only natural that people are happily getting into wet and wild water fights, which originated as a way to pay respect to people and also mark the traditional Thai New Year.
