Claim singer insulted their feelings by speaking out for gay rights at St Petersburg concert

When Madonna performed in St Petersburg last week, she told fans at her MDNA concert to ‘show your love and appreciation to the gay community.'

She then added: 'We want to fight for the right to be free.'

Now a group of 10 anti-gay Russian activists want her to pay. They filed a $10 million lawsuit in a St Petersburg court on Friday (17 August) against the singer. They claim she insulted their feelings by flouting a city law adopted in March that imposes fines for spreading homosexual 'propaganda.'

Just last week, Adam Lambert revealed via Twitter that he had done away with his trademark jet-black hair and become a platinum blond.

Now he's tweeted out the next step in his summer transformation: an arm tattoo.

Lambert has had the the Latin phrase 'Musica Delenit Bestiam Feram' tattooed onto his arm. Translated into English it means: 'Music Soothes the Savage Beast.'

The queen of pop tells fans at Russian concert to 'show your love' for gays and 'fight for freedom'

Madonna will be prosecuted for speaking out for gay rights during her concert in St Petersburg last night (9 August).

The Material Girl faces a fine of 5,000 Rubles ($156) after telling fans at her MDNA gig to ‘show your love and appreciation to the gay community.’

‘We want to fight for the right to be free,’ she added.

The organizers of the queen of pop’s world tour could also be ordered to pay up to 500,000 Rubles ($15,700), according to the Gay Russia website.

Tagged Chris Brown Gay, it shows a lookalike of Brown naked and in the middle of a sex act with two men whose faces are hidden.

With many believing the picture was real, it quickly became a trending topic.

Australian Olympic diver Mitcham is making his own entertainment before his big dive next week

Out and proud Australian diver Matthew Mitcham has been relaxing during the Olympics by playing some creative interpretations of Beyoncé songs on his ukulele.

Mitcham released a clip on his official YouTube channel of him playing a folk version of Beyoncé’s Single Ladies, in response to a request on Twitter.

The clip was posted on Wednesday (1 August) and already has nearly 20,000 views and nearly 700 likes.

US magazines face lawsuit if they don't retract claims dancer Casper Smart visited a gay sex club before J-Lo's birthday

Pop star Jennifer Lopez is suing US magazines for claiming her dancer boyfriend Casper Smart was spotted at a gay sex club.

In its report, Star Magazine included photographs of Smart outside a peep show in New York and claimed it was a ‘well-known cruising spot’ or gay men.

In Touch also ran a similar story, saying he was ‘caught’ with an ‘exotic masseuse’ the day before J-Lo’s birthday.

Gay icon has not released album of new material since 2001

Cher has been in the recording studio and has let fans know, via Twitter, that her first new album of original music in more than a decade will be out in December.

The 66-year-old gay icon told the first single from the untitled album will be released in October.

Cher regularly communicates with fans on Twitter but she still knows when to hold back when it comes to the business of her career which is still going strong after 47 years in the spotlight.

A Welsh footballer has sparked outrage after allegedly tweeting homophobic abuse about Olympic divers Tom Daley and Peter Waterfield.

Port Talbot Town Football Club midfielder Daniel Thomas denied posting the offensive comments on Twitter following the athletes missing out on a medal in yesterday's 10 meter platform event in London.

In a statement, the football club claimed the tweet was a 'misguided prank' as a result of Thomas leaving his phone unattended.

A marriage equality video which shows a British soldier proposing to his boyfriend has been entered into a short film competition, voted for by the public.

The video from pro-gay campaign group Coalition for Equal Marriage went viral on YouTube when it was released in April and has now been viewed over 795,000 times.

British actress Juno Temple will play love interest Diane, whose charming innocence opens up Jack’s tough exterior.

A former Reading Pride chairwoman is hoping to persuade the town to let her carry a pink Olympic Torch

A lesbian is hoping to persuade her English town to use a pink Olympic torch to raise awareness of gay rights.

Lorna McArdle, 43, will be Reading's first torchbearer on 10 July as it makes it way around British towns and cities, local newspaper Get Reading reports.

She hopes a sea of pink clothing and decorations will greet the flame when it comes to southern English borough.

McArdle, former chairwoman of Reading Pride, says her aim is to help bring a new diversity and acceptance of sexuality within the community of Reading.

US President Barack Obama was into the fourth year of his term before he publicly endorsed gay marriage.

But if Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine were the nation's chief executive, it would only take a single day.

Levine, promoting his group's new album Overexposed, was asked by MTV what he would do if he were president for a day.

'First I'd make gay marriage legal because that's just archaic and ridiculous,' he said. 'That's the first thing I would do. If I'm only going to be be president for a day, you gotta get in and out and make some changes.'

Chaz Bono, the transgender son of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, is in Toronto this week filming a guest spot on the long-running teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation.
