‘Towel mom’ throws an obstruction in front of the TV to protect her son from nudity. Her son is aged 22.

When Reddit user DantesInfernape took a photo of his mother on Sunday night and posted it on Reddit, he probably had no idea that he was going to turn her into an internet star.

The photograph showed his mom holding towel over a TV screen; the reason for behavior was explained in the caption.

'There were boobs on-screen, so my mother took action. I am a 22 year old gay man.'

Before a film about her military past and future hopes airs on CNN, ‘warrior princess’ Kristin Beck will be answering questions on the social media network Reditt

CNN films is premiering today (4 September) a film about Kristin Beck, a trans former Navy SEAL who served in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia and elsewhere.

The film titled Lady Valor: The Kristin Beck Story follows her personal journey from childhood through to her military career, marriage and coming out and will broadcast at 9 pm Eastern time.

Giving someone your username to a social news website might not be the best idea if you're closeted, but thankfully it didn't end badly...

A man has just found out his brother is gay on Reddit.

While that may have been an uncomfortable situation, it thankfully wasn’t.

Reddit user thecly had provided his brother with his username so he could see a discussion he was engaged in on the site.

But he forgot he had also posted in the ‘gaybros’ subreddit, talking about his sexuality.

Reddit celebrates a gay Marine's send off from his unit

A gay US Marine used Reddit, a social and news website, to post a gift his unit gave him.

'Today's my unofficial last day as a Marine,' the serviceman wrote. 'This is what my unit gave me to say goodbye.'

The picture shows the service member holding a rainbow flag. In the middle is a Marine symbol, and under that is the term 'Served with Pride.'

A proud grandson has described how his grandmother walked out of her church after an anti-LGBT sermon.

The American Reddit user, registered as BMMiller10, posted on the site that his grandmother had changed her conservative attitudes to homosexuality after he came out to her the previous year.

And after her pastor singled out another gay teenager in front of an entire congregation, promising to 'address the problem of homosexuality', she apologized to the teen and walked out.
