The city's first Dyke March since the 1980s hits the road on Saturday

Hundreds of dykes will take to central London’s streets 31 March to rally in celebration of all women, queers, transgender people and their allies.

Inspired by 19 years of Dyke Marches in the US and Canada, this year’s march will start at 5 pm in central London’s Soho Square.

Speakers to kick off the march include UK Black Pride’s director Lady Phill Opoku-Hyimah, disability rights campaigner Kirsten Hearn, transgender writer Paris Lees, Chinese artist and lesbian activist Shi tou and LGBT activist Clare Dimyon.
