Scott Rudin is first producer to have won an Oscar, Grammy, Tony and Emmy

Don't expect to see producer Scott Rudin and movie queen Angelina Jolie working together anytime soon.

A scathing email Rudin sent to Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal about Jolie is part of the fallout from a cyber-attack on the studio and was leaked on Tuesday (9 December).

An ongoing email exchange between Rudin and Pascal over much of 2014 included Rudin's fury over Jolie's alleged objection over David Fincher directing a Steve Jobs biopic instead of her remake of Cleopatra.

Franco was the guest on last night's (6 December) comedy show Saturday Night Live. His opening monologue focused on the problems Sony faces with the company's information being hacked and shared.

The Very Best of Adam Lambert will include three performances from American Idol

Adam Lambert has been plenty busy in 2014 filming episodes of Glee and preparing a tour with the surviving members of Queen.

One thing he has not done lately is release a new album.

But Sony Legacy is taking care of that - sort of.

The parent company of the singer's former label, RCA, is releasing a 14-track collection of Lambert's greatest hits and more on 27 May titled The Very Best of Adam Lambert.

The openly gay actor in a romantic leading role remains the final frontier for the US movie industry and Matt Bomer is shaping up as a candidate to scale that mountain.

The star of TV's White Collar was in Austin, Texas, this week for the world premiere of Space Station 76 at the South by Southwest film Festival.

He stars in the sci-fi flick with Patrick Wilson and Liv Tyler.

It was announced this week that Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has acquired all international rights to distribute the comedy drama set in the 1970s.

The lesbian-themed French film Blue is the Warmest Color may have been shutout at the Oscars but it was named Foreign Language Film of the Year and LGBT Film of the Year by the Gay and Lesbian Critics Association (GALECA).

GALECA unveiled the winners of its 2013 Dorian Awards on Tuesday (21 January). The group is comprised of over 80 professional entertainment journalists across the US and Europe, including Gay Star News, who write or report for media outlets easily accessible in America.

R&B singer engaged in a war of words with a Twitter user after he brands her new music a ‘flop’

US singer Ashanti has come under fire for mocking a fan on Twitter and accusing him of being a closet gay.

The 'Foolish' singer took to Twitter while watching a football match and asked her followers to pick a team: either the Seattle Seahawks or the San Francisco 49ers.

However, one user of the social media site decided to attack the modest success of her latest single.

The tweeter was referencing her single ‘The Woman You Love’, which only managed to reach number 97 on the Billboard charts in the US.

X Factor boyband Union J, which includes gay member Jaymi Hensley, has won a record deal with Sony despite not taking first place on this year's show.

The UK group announced at their Cardiff gig on Saturday (15 December) that they intend to release an album next year, as they hope their contract will be sorted before Christmas, reported Digital Spy.

Don Philip's voice no longer what it was when he sang with Spears

When Don Philip faced Britney Spears on this week's season premiere on Fox's The X Factor, he was asked what had happened to him in the 12 years since he has recorded a duet with the pop star and now TV show judge.

'At the time I didn't think I was worthy,’ Philip said of when he last saw Spears.

That's the part that TV viewers saw. What they didn't see was the rest of what he said: ‘I didn't think you thought it was okay that I am gay.’

Spears then said: ‘I think it is fine you are gay.’
