Lambda Legal has filed a federal lawsuit in Nevada on behalf of eight same-sex couples challenging Nevada’s constitutional ban on gay marriage.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday (10 April) in the U.S. District Court for Nevada, argues that the state's constitutional amendment barring same-sex couples from marriage violates the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
