Boxer Micky Ward withdraws support of Republican senator who doesn't support gay marriage

Man whose life was depicted in the film The Fighter dumps Scott Brown

Boxer Micky Ward, whose life was depicted in the film The Fighter, pulled out of an event in Massachusetts Friday (31 August) where he was to announce his support of incumbent US Senator Scott Brown.

Ward tells his hometown newspaper, Lowell Sun, that he was in favor of the Republican until he discovered Brown is against gay marriage and anti-union.

Director of 'The Fighter' accused of groping transgender relative

David O. Russell's relative has filed a battery complaint after encounter last week at a Florida gym

The 19-year-old child of director David O. Russell's  adopted sister has accused the movie director of being sexually inappropriate while the two were working out at a Florida gym last week.

Nicholas Peloquin, who also uses the first name of Nicole, was born a male and has taken female hormones to grow breasts but has not undergone male-to-female surgery.

Peloquin told police the alleged incident occurred while working out with Russell in a gym inside Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach, Fl.
